i'll probably get an ipod touch instead..
What i really hope is that the new features included in the iphone 3gs will be available for the next ipod touch..

The (S) is for Speed as the normal 3g iphone will only support 3.2 mbs speed download where as the 3GS now has 7.2mbs there for the speed on viewing and surfing will be a lot quicker

The camera is 3 mp due to the fact no phone can send a photo any bigger than that so its pointless having a 5 or a 8 mp on a phone as it always rezises back to 3.0 mps when sending the photo

Well, for what I see now. It's gonna be a rip off in Europe. I mean, come on. 699 euro, while you can buy it for 200 dollar in america. It saves you around 420 euro if you buy it in america. I'm an Iphone freak cause have one myself. Just considered that the fact I whould buy it cause of the expanded life battery. For the rest the normall Iphone 3g gets the same system software. Basicly it's to small upgrade for the amount of money. I use it only for test message, phone calls and internet. The 3g works perfect for it so it's a bit waste of money to get the 3gs. Due all the specs etc. reconsider if it's worthy to buy it and compare the prices elsewhere outside europe before you getting ripped off by expensive vodafone or t-mobile.

Around 10 million iphones...
Last year more money was made from iphone app sales than was made from smartphone app sales.
The app store is far more accesible to users than any other online store. Nokia tried with the re-launch of Ngage and looked to be failing. So they are now tring agaion with the OVI store - which to be honest looks to be a joke.
The biggest change which no-one has spoken about is the Open GLES 2.0 added to the iphone 3gs.
The 3GS is now graphically more powerfull the the Sony PSP.
Both these reasons are why independant developers would now rather develop for just 1 platform (iphone).
Plus they dont have to deal with any porting issues... If it works on the iphone, it will work on the 3G and 3GS.
Games like this are now going to start becoming more common on iphone:

All the other manufacturers know this and are trying to make their own iphone 'killers'.
They really do need to catch up - Apple have it bang on...
I hate saying this as I'm not really a fan of the iphone...

for me, iPhone is a good phone, regarding those of Apple fanbois who said that anti-iPhone crowds cant afford an iPhone, haha, screw you, hell, i can afford 100 units of iPhone now if i want to, for me, iPhone has been always behind with the rest of the world, note that Nokia, SE, Samsung, HTC, already included video capture in their phone ages ago, where iPhone just includes it on 3GS, well i cant blame Apple too, as they are a new breakthrough in Phone World, but yeah, they should have done better knowing how the other competitors have produced, well for me
iPhone 3GS is still in line with X1, Palm Pre, Omnia and N97
however, SE is gonna kill 3GS with their supposedly new Xperia X2

the iphone is fine the way it is,i dont know why they had to come up with the 3GS story though theres no difference.whats the S for?is it for 32gig or what?im just lost iphone...my advise to those with the iphone 3g stick to it,dnt get excited with S story.

No perfect interface will ever hit the market, features will always come at once, that's the game. Meanwhile, who else gives the chance to develop apps for Medicine, BI, or Fun?
