9. compass that rotates maps to always match the direction you’re facing.

and apple is so good that they made the o.s. 3.0 update for iphone users for free! that has bluetooth peer to peer games, mms, internet tethering, cut,copy,paste, shake to shuffle.
You keep telling everything not improved, why dont you look at your nokia instead? is n96 a big upgrade to n95?LOL thats an ugly upgrade!
n97 is just a 5800 qwerty! haha and another thing is n97 has underpowered specs! iphone 3Gs faster in any category, 3G speed, cpu speed, video graphics w/c n97 dont have! what kind of upgrade is n97?? just a qwerty 5800! with different design looks!

real smart people will buy all around smartphones that can do great photos, do internet, and make phone calls. why have a smartphone and a separate camera when a person can have camera smartphone? im talkin about the conveniency.
other smartphones already have the new features that you have mentioned about the new iphone.
the n97 and 5800 are diffrent from each other. you don't know the n-series do you? the n97 is powerful than the 5800. n97 underpowered? lol...that's a joke. the n97 is also fast with the 3.5 signal. more equipped than the new iphone. more of an all around handset than the iphone.
i pretty much look for the all around use of a smartphone.

P.S: HTC S310 non-touch with OMAP850 CPU (200MHz only) 1.3MP camera IS a smartphone but Renoir, Satio and innov8 are NOT, they're camera phones, the 1st necessity for a Smartphone is to have an OS
3gs has simply the fastest processing combination: 600MHz with 10% overclock occasionally with the fastest mobile graphic card EVER
When Apple was developing UNIX (the ancestor of iPhone OS) there were nothing named Samsung, LG, South Korea!!!! and Sony was changing discharge bulb Radios to Transistor Radios!!!!!!

the n-series has the 3.5 g signal.
you dont know the capabilities of the the n97. check out the specs at NOKIA.com. also check out the n96. the n95 still cripple's the iphone.

no flash! only 3 mil camera lol and no replaceable battery,not sure but is the bluetooth only work to head sets not phone to phone so you can exchange photo, video,s and music, how far behind the times are Apple! as usual. but i suppose all the idiot out there that go for there image or what they think is good or a cool phone, but haven't got a clue! will buy this so called phone! the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD or the LG KC910i Renoir make this iphone look ancient.

Has anyone got any clues as to when the exclusivity deal will end will 02? What Steve Jobs was thinking when he released this phone, only exclusively to 02, i will never know. I've heard rumors that all exclusivity rights will end with both 02 and AT%T This year sometime. does anyone have any clue as to when this might be? I can't wait for this to happen.
It'll open the iphone to real, consumer based carriers such as T-Mobile UK who won't rip anybody off!! =)... Hopefully .. XD

T-Mobile US has NO 3G so there's no point in giving it to em; and Apple certainly isin't gonna go backwards in sense of technology and make a sh!ty CDMA version for Sprint or Verizon.

The iphone is made to be a gaming console and an iPod thats why they have all those apps.The camera sucks so obviously it was not important to apple

Apple will succes with the iPhone what ever they make, because is Apple! no1 can stop it. Even if there was no update and the others ( Nokia, LG, SonyEricson ) make super technologic phones it will still be the no1.

Hmm. I'm interested in this phone but I really would have to see the performance, what apps are operational on this unit and how well they perform.
I'm also not a fool and 600-700 euros for ANY phone is abit ludicrous by anyone's standards. Wealthy, Middle grounds, or Poor.
