Do a research instead of blindly guessing some random numbers. And believe me, I haven't searched much for apps, and still I found that much. If I'd want, I'd find 100 times more...

Its not all about the MP. Thats just how big you can blow the picture up.
Get a c905 if you want a cameraphone. Plus a high res camera would p*ss off alot of business users, and thats a massive market for the iphone. If you''re sending a picture through mms (from the box on 3gs!) and it's a high res 8mp snap, then it's going to be a bulky data transfer, thus incurring the reciever (if they haven't got a data package) a lovely big bill.
Also do you fancy paying £200 more for a high spec camera. Well i tell you most people won't. Thats bad business. Very bad businesss, and apple definhatley aren't about that.

as someone that works in the mobile industry at a retail level and has been taking pre-orders all day. the phone is diaper trash. dont get me wrong, i love my old iBook G4 to pieces i prefer Apple over MS anyday. but alot of you are right, the good and the bad. the phone is pretty damn powerful, but they have really missed the ball with this one, the only exceptional thing about the 3GS is the price.
christ knows how im gonna get people to part with so much cash?

If you want BT file transfer and any other stuff you mentioned... you can do the same thing you did with your Symbian phone and then you'll feel the same PROFESSIONAL (the feeling of doing Development of a SW!!!!)

But that doesn't mean that there aren't ANY apps availible. Basicly, Iphone is a noob phone for people who don't know how to search for apps on the net. Those people most likely don't know what multitasking is, because if they would know, they wouldn't get an Iphone!
