Rosaline, 11 Jun 2009Anyone can tell me does tis fone supports flash lite 3.0 & ... moreNo-one wants flash. It is slow, a security risk and is mainly used for annoying advertising.

The web experience is the best you can have on a mobile phone. There are full screen browsers available in the App Store if you don't like the default one provided.

I love how this phone's been rated so poorly before it's even been released.

      ...

This site should have disabled the voting until its release because it deserves way better than what it has.

Da beavsta, 11 Jun 2009To all the knuckleheads heads complaining that the i-phone ... moreexcept if there's no wireless connection around, internet radio is far far more expensive, according to your phone plan anyway. not to mention the music coming out is of lower quality too, not all stations broadcasts online as well, the time lags, etc.

Da beavsta, 11 Jun 2009To all the knuckleheads heads complaining that the i-phone ... moreBut even with that you're confirming what people are saying - the iPhone doesn't have a radio, you have to go online and use your own data to access the radio, when the vast majority of phones will have a free to use radio.

I happen to like the iPhone, I happen to like the Nokia N97, I dislike the nonsense that either sux. They are different, none is perfect.

Da beavsta, 11 Jun 2009To all the knuckleheads heads complaining that the i-phone ... moreYes, you can use internet radio, which will jack up your data charges really nicely. There IS a point in FM radio, don't dismiss it as if it's not an important feature. Apple never throws in FM, not even on their ipods, unless you pay a chunk more. They're all about ripping off the consumer by forcing them to buy add-ons, which jack up the price of their already over-priced products.

I was comparing the iPhone 3G S and the N97,and I'm nothing going to lie, nor front, but hands down, the iPhone is better. Yeah, the N97 have a flash and a memory slot (the same memory card size a Sony PSP could hold), that could boost the 32G to 48G; big deal. 32 gigs in a pock is all one needs. But, anything you want or need, there's an app for it. Plus, with more RAM, and a faster CPU; the 3G S is like having a mini Mini Mac in your pocket. And it's not as pricy as the N97. My friend is one of those folks who love the N97; I told him: there could be a finalcut app for the iPhone since it have a video camera now; he automatically said, "nah."
What he or the other N97 fans don't understand is: whatever you need, "there's an app for it."

listen up, apple is bullshit, they dont try to save anyone money, whats a 5-10 dollar case when the iphone is not ment to last long, it breaks easy, the glass front plate cracks easy, the internals freeze, i've had 4 iphones , 2 2g's the 8 and 16 gig, i had 2 3g's both 16 gig , all i can say is that apple knows they have a product that is easy to get really hooked on, that is why they keep coming out with new ones every few months because they know ppl will buy it and they know ppl will just end up either breaking it or whatever, im not going to lie its a well thought of product, the applications and internet capabilities are great, the actual phone internally and externally suuuck.. if you plan on purchasing this phone, remember that it is easy to break, and it comes with problems, it even frequently kickes you off the applications and internet, make a more reliable phone apple,

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2009I find it funny that the 3g s gets a lower rating on all 3 ... moreThe ratings here are worthless, there are a whole lot of people who just keep voting 1,1,1 mainly any new phone that is better than a Nokia.

The same thing happened to the Samsung i8510 Innov8, it dropped dramatically in a couple of days it also happened with the iPhone 3G and the Samsung i8910 HD, it's a very childish reaction and does nothing for the professionalism of this site, maybe GSM arena should look into one vote per IP for each phone which would give a more consistent result.

I find it funny that the 3g s gets a lower rating on all 3 criteria than either of it's predecessors when it's Performance by all counts is better - it's battery performance is up despite the fact that it's actual processing power has increased - the RAM's doubled to match the Nokia N97 and Palm Pre, and it's said to be quicker not just moving between apps but when loading up web pages too.
there aren't many new features, but the fact it's got VGA vid at 30fps is pretty gd, and it's kept the phone the same dimensions.
So ppl are prob just pissed off about the pricing, which is way too much and that o2 won't switch their contracts, and rating it lower as a backlash!
