other companies are coming out with better phones, functionalities, performance and designs. The Iphone does not have a camera at the front, WAY BEHIND!!!!

warlock, 21 Apr 2010Unfortunately there are varying levels of Apple fanboys. ... moreIf you do your research and look at other options, then I wouldn't call you a "fanboy". There is nothing wrong in liking the iPhone. However, I do criticize those who believe that the iPhone is faultless and are uncapable of admitting, not only the iPhone's shortcomings, but also that other manufacturer's surpass Apple in many aspects.

Anyone who keeps on saying it's fake is living in a cave and does not follow the news. Just coz you don't like the design doesn't mean that you call it a fake. It's been all over the news and proven that it will be the next gen iPhone, especially when Apple's lawyers demanded the iPhone 4G back, so suck it up losers if you don't like the design because it's only incremental changes, nothing ground breaking.

Design is quite decent, at least now we can distinguish its from its predecessors. But whats with the plastic body.. i know they are looking forward for a good wifi reception, but they could have come up with something better.. don't know what in their mind until the official launch of the product, all i feel is plastic body is a big NO NO.. anyways lets wait & watch..

Shifter, 21 Apr 2010Well, this phone has been surpassed many times over by much... moreYou do realise, don't you, that it was just announced that Apple's profits jumped 90% in the first quarter, boosted by... wait for it... demand for iPhones! Its even on the first page of this website.

While we are all entitled to our opinions, poorly informed ones do tend to backfire and make us look bad in the end.

Lastly, why would you compare an iPhone to a notebook?

Well, this phone has been surpassed many times over by much better devices. Looks like it is going to meet its demise this year. Lackluster sales and poor performance of the iPhone 4G is going to expose what more informed consumers have known for years, which is, "The iPhone has always been just a fad. It has never offered true notebook capabilities that a power user couldn't live without."

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2010The readiness of Apple fanboys to buy everything that Apple... moreUnfortunately there are varying levels of Apple fanboys.

To a certain degree I would call myself a fanboy, but I do compare with what is out there before making any purchase.

You are right however that there are those who do feel that Apple can do no wrong.

The best option, in my mind, is to always to do a bit of research, find out what suits your needs best, and then go with that.

The readiness of Apple fanboys to buy everything that Apple throws at them unquestioningly will never cease to amaze me.

iphonelover360, 21 Apr 2010To everyone that's thinking about upgrading or getting this... more"To everyone that's thinking about upgrading or getting this phone please ask yourselfs what in hell is this phone giving me that the current phone doesn't give you."

I'm not an Apple fan by any means. In fact, I avoided the iPhone until now because of its lack of MMS, lack of copy & paste, lack of Word and Excel editing, lack of multi-tasking, poor camera, poor battery, inflated tariff charges and dependence on iTunes. But my biggest gripes are finally resolved now. This is what the 4G would give me over my current phone if the leaked specs are correct:

Japanese language support out of the box
More on-board storage for apps, music, photos, videos
More and better travel, language learning and finance apps than any other OS
Better compatibility of apps due to strict guidelines specifically tailored for iPhone
More frequent firmware updates for handset
                                    More finger-friendly UI
                                    Finally a comparable camera
Hopefully similar or better battery performance
In time, a wealth of accessories

I'd love to have Flash support because many websites I regularly visit use it and I think Apple's anti-Flash stance is silly (it will take years for HTML 5 to replace Flash, if ever), but other phones also struggle with Flash, so that's not so much of a deal breaker. Still, I'm also keeping an eye on the Samsung Galaxy S (Android) and will compare user reviews once they are both released.

5 MP camera when the competition is moving to 8 MP and 12 MP and HD video? I know pixels mean squat AFA quality is concerned, but the point is that consumers do care for more MP (right or wrong, they do)and the iPhone's picture quality was always awful. Something tells me that this will be another crappy camera iPhone. Not that it really matters to Apple clients. They are always ready to pay whatever Steve Jobs asks for products with outdated features, like the iPad. The iPhone 4G will be no exception. When will Apple release a truly new iPhone, instead of just doing minor upgrades to the original?

why doesn't it use amoled screen which is much more better than TFT??
every fact i see about this new phone is a little disappointing..
but it's a relief that they put bigger battery and a very sharp screen..
