Been using this phone since late 2012 running iOS6. I upgraded it to 7.1.2 few months after and speakers won't work anymore. But alarms and ringing tones work though and I could still listen to music using earphones. I wonder if it would let me use bluetooth headset despite that. I'm happy it's still smooth. Okay, not so smooth but it's tolerable. Bought 5s and let this retire from major usage and only use this for music.

I'm am using this phone on its 7.1.2(the latest version supported by the phone)and it holds up pretty well. I am able to do most day to day tasks. On the other hand some apps are not supported by its 7.1.2 but its fine because I can still log into iTunes and get older version of the app. One thing I want to say is if you are complaining about not being able to run ios 8,9 or 10 is because if you think about it, the iPhone 4 would not be powerful enough. Even if it was supported, it would make the phone very slow. Heck, is 7.1.2 has its rundowns on the iPhone 4.

It would not be good for developers because they had to optimize their apps for another screen size and ratio.

I love it if Apple were to bring out an up to date version of the 4 - leave it as it is but simply improve the guts ! I'd buy !

For people who cant download apps on ios 8,9,10
-Go to itunes(on computer)
-sign in your apple id.
-search the app e.g Youtube,chrome etc
-download it.
-then on your phone go to the app store.
-search the app (youtube)
-tap on the cloud icon
-will ask u to download the previous version.
-tap download
Thus problem solve.

I'm still happy with my iPhone 4 running ios 7.1.2 it was laggy at first until i watched videos from youtube to make it smooth and i replaced the battery of my iPhone 4 it has a lot of apps (42) and it's not even laggy it works perfectly fine i love this phone very much even if i get the chance to get an iPhone 6 or 7 i would still use my iPhone 4.
