When its ringing its ok...

kamran, 21 Dec 2015the phone got switched off oon its oown and now not opening... moreHold power button and home button for 20 seconds. Its a soft reset key combination. If it wont work , try restoring your phone software via itunes with pc

The reason why the iPhone 4 does not support iOS 8 is due to the phones hardware. The iPhone 4 has an A4 chip where as the 4s has an A5 chip. Believe it or not, even iOS 7.1.2 is pushing the iPhone 4's limits due to it's hardware. You will even notice that in some aspects of the phone, there are bits taken out of iOS 7 that are in other devices when they had iOS 7 such as the blur in the control panel, paralex and more. This is why Apple had to stop it there, if you wanted something with iOS 8 and now 9, I would not suggest the 4s as it does struggle now with iOS 9. So, if I were you, I would update to a 5 or more as they seem to be coping well and it is very unlikely that the 4s will get the iOS 10 update when it appears. In my opinion, the 5 will also start to suffer at that update. That is why I use a Galaxy S5 as I don't need to worry about those iOS updates and whether my phone will handle it. But, that is why some of the iPhones can't have certain iOS's, due to the hardware.

I am Waiting for the new version. I think iOS 7.1.2 is not good. Pls launch new version for iphone 4 .

Correction: it goes up to iOS 7.1.2 not iOS 7.1.1

sound and speaker are going well, even the ring for test. Only I cannot hear the ring when somebody calls me, only vibration is in function. What can i do please

There's a small error in iPhone 4 specification. This model can be upgraded to iOS 7.1.2 not 7.1.1. That's a version on my own iPhone 4.

Best phone ever for me, at least for the hardware and outlook design. After 5 years+ usage, still reliable and perform good. Too bad there is no more official support from Apple, all software is outdated and can't function. iOS 6 and 7 make its performance slow down. at last I have to leave it away and proceed to next phone.

I bought a 2nd hand used iphone 4 ... When Im trying to create new apple it guves me an error as "this devise is not eligible for free apple it" what would be possible reason for it???
