I have iphone 3gs and iphone 4. Iphone is a great device but it lacks certain vital features.
1. NO FLASH PLAYER or JAVA
2. You have to use itunes to transfer your media.
3. All the video and ringtone media have to be converted/compressed to iphone size. this is time consuming.
On the other hand android is so much better in my opinion u can do all the features listed above. Also does not need to convert any media just drag and drop the video files into the phone. It will play it without any problem.

Go to contacts>choose any contact name>then underneath the mobile number there are two (or 3 options if mms is enabled) options: text message and add favorite>tap text message then see if the contact appears in your sms.

I just luv this Iphone4 but why there is no radio, i don,t get this why why why. can someone give me an explanation. Apple could have just simply include this option. Anyways i m still going to buy this.

the-black-swan, 15 May 2011I just bought my iPhone 4 yesterday and I already noticed a... moreDon't really understand your problem. Just in case, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sort Order and change it to "First, Last" as opposed to the default which is "Last, First"
Some people have problems finding their contacts, because by default, names are sorted by Surname. In Asia, most times, names are sorted by first name.

I just bought my iPhone 4 yesterday and I already noticed a bug.
When I try to send a text message directly to a contact,
the contact name doesn't show up in the sms.
I did all basic trouble shooting possible.
I've already upgraded to 4.3.3 and the problem still persists.
I have no problem sending and receiving text message.
Only that, everytime I have to create an SMS,
i have to do it by tapping the SMS icon and manually choosing the contact.
I CANNOT do so by tapping the contact icon and DIRECTLY create the sms by tapping
the "text message" option underneath the contact number because the contact name
does not show up in the sms.
Other than that, the phone is fine.
I am hesitant to ask my carrier to replace the unit because here in the Philippines,
iPhone units are not replaced right there and then even if you have a legitimate reason
to ask for a replacement. It would normally take a month or so to wait as I did 2 years ago
when I had them replaced my 3GS which turned out to be a refurb which caused me so much fury.
So is there a way to fix this bug? Or is it something tolerable?

what u need to do is just jaibreak your iphone..after u jailbreak it u can njoy all applications inside there for free...install 'installious' then just browse what game u wnt...mine have 10 pages of great games...20.3gb r reserved spaced for apps n games only...relly fun ...

I bought an iPhone 4 and my brother got his Nokia N8.
I so regret my decision since N8 let's you do so much more.
A few examples of what Nokia N8 has over iPhone: BlueTooth sharing, USB-on-the-Go, FM transmitter, GPS sensor(works while offline!), has SD card slot AND internal 16GB, Java, Flash 4 for web browsing, HDMI tv-out, Dolby Surround sound 5.1, widgets in home screens... ALSO the obvious one: the 12MP camera with Xenon flash
I also don't like that apple has us so restricted when using our iPhones. I guess I'll just sell my iPhone and buy a Nokia N8.

Sorry... hand set hardware is good but for software 2 much limitation... bluetooth also not working with other phones as well as we can;t use ring tones as required..... Itune also not userfrendly..... Onlt iphone crazeeeeeeeeeeeeee ..... Don;t west money

I like iphone..but i like nokia or samsung more. Because in iphone i have to buy application........but in symbian or android most of the applications are free. Thats the main reason why i hate my dad's iphone. Apple always think for rich people....for their this kind of product they are dividing rich and the poor. Try to think about all. Ur phone costs over usd 650. Why the same phone with more better features than you costs only usd400-450. By Selling brand name? Huh.......

it lacks many features like radio, card slot, No java.......it should contain all features because it is one of the expensive phone in the market. And apple should think about the battery backup....very very low than nokia or samsung.

I bought 3 iphone 4 but in all iphone only one speaker is ringing other one is not working.... i thought that's speaker for only show piece.....IS IT RIGHT? Or my luck is very very very bad............any iphone 4 user can me help for this problem.........and many user can't see this problem in his/her iphone...........................
