it hurts me to say this... i was a iphone hater... and a big android supporter but having a iphone for the last month sort-of changed the way i feel about iphones.
Dont get me wrong i still hate the Apple marketing machine and the first thing i did is jailbreak it...first the thetered one.. and now thanks to greenpois0n untheterd. ill tell you why... first and foremost... i had a galaxy s prior and it was a really sweet phone but Android is a big let-down... it made this sweet phone slow and un-responsive , i like having lots of programs on my phones and android is bad at that... factory galaxy s rocks... but once you install alot on it its slow... and sometimes unresponsive.. NOW.. iphone 4.. not that flash as the galaxy s and a bit more heavy but ... mate this phone has the best os compared with any other phone i used... i installed heaps of apps... and still works like the new... no lag...
gaming.. its pretty much the same.. ok screen is a bit smaller but the range of games is more wider.. and thanx to hackulo free games are nice ! Apps.. alot more variety on the iphone and all of them work as they supposed to..
Conclusion... as far as im concerned.. the only thing right now that keeps iphone infront its the ios.. not the phone features.. and trust me.. i loved my galaxy s but i just wanted a phone that worked when i need it to.. im over figthing android bugs...all tho i miss having flash on my phone ( i still dont get why apple wont let adobe flash on their os - its stuppid ) its a loss i can take just to have a phone that works at its supposed to when i want it !

Overall i really enjoy this phone but 4 things I have noticed that is irrating.
1.When i put in my password for my hotmail i almost always have to do this twice it says its wrong when i watch closely that it's right.
2.If i want to reply to a facebook message that i see in my email it takes me to a reply box that just will not work no matter how much i try it will not bring up the querty. had to use my N97 the other night in offline over wi fi to reply.
3.I am not to impressed by Facetime, more like freeze time and call getting ended 3 times. The facetime call was received by me over my wi fi from my friends wi fi which isnt cluttered by other people.
It would freeze about 5 times during a 30 minute call.Twice it unfreezed itself after about 20 seconds and 3 times the call just dropped.I've tried a skype video call over wi fi and found that to be better.
4.You tube videos occasionally freeze.

honestly, I have been a Nokia user since Nokia 3210 was launch way back in 2001 and my last 2 Nokia units was 6700 Classic and 3600 Slide, unfortunately this 2 phones malfunctioned after just almost 11 months and 2 years respectively. I'm just dissapointed about Nokia's units nowadays compared to the ones made 5 years ago. Today, Nokia handsets are made in China just like my 6700 and 3600 which are irrepairables. I am a very careful with my handsets but to no avail, my Nokia units just gave-in.
And now, I have iPhone 4, hope this unit will not dissappoint me either.

[deleted post]And can you believe it? I have the Nokia CEO to back me up too lol:
""The first iPhone shipped in 2007, and we still don't have a product that is close to their experience. "
Stephen Elop, Nokia CEO

Get it from Nokis CEO:
Engadget publishes a memo written by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and posted to the company's employees about the fragile state of their business. The memo is surprisingly candid about the challenges Nokia faces with increased competition from the Apple iPhone and Google's Android. He compares Nokia's current situation to a man standing on a burning platform where the only choice is to shift from expected behavior and "jump".
Of the iPhone's entry into the market, he wrote:
In 2008, Apple's market share in the $300+ price range was 25 percent; by 2010 it escalated to 61 percent. They are enjoying a tremendous growth trajectory with a 78 percent earnings growth year over year in Q4 2010. Apple demonstrated that if designed well, consumers would buy a high-priced phone with a great experience and developers would build applications. They changed the game, and today, Apple owns the high-end range.
Elop acknowledges that even though the original iPhone launched in 2007, Nokia does not yet have a product that is close to that experience. While they have been working to innovate, they fell behind and missed big trends.

May not be the best at everything but its the best all round package. Most Roid based phones have serious issues such as lag or poor touch screens. Iphone doesn't it just does things well.

Bittu 502, 08 Feb 2011Look man the I phone is a symbol of luxury or what not but ... morePlease do not make sweeping generalizations without even attempting to back up your statements: I can just switch the phone models in your own sentence, and no one would know the difference:
"Look man the Nokia N8 is a symbol of luxury or what not but its not good in performance.whereas the iPhone is true mobile fone for people on the go.besides N8 loses when compared to iPhone"
You see? Try harder next time please.

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2011I have 3gs. What is BIG difference?Main differences:
- New body design
- Front facing camera - Video chat (FaceTime, Tango, Skype etc)
- Retina display - very crisp and bright display
The other differences are mainly the usual improvements in different areas: Better battery life, improved performance etc.
