I work for a phone company in Australia, and even through the iPhone may have been the dominant phone in our shop for the last 3-4 years, it is quickly being replaced by people wanting our Android based devices. Since the iPhone 4 launch in July 2010, it has been outsold by the likes of HTC Desire and the Samsung Galaxy at a ratio of 4:1
I used to love the iPhone, but with the range of Androids flooding the market, Apple may need a shift in strategy to contain Google's dominance at the moment. If this includes less restrictions on their devices, then that's the way they should go.

Comparing with Nokia phones, there are lot more to learn for Apple developers. All Apple iPhone 4 buyers must at least glance for Nokia N8

Please people the Apple iPhone 4 is truly amazing better than any phone currently on the market it features design and performance are truly great so all you iPhone 4 haters out there get your crap stinking phones and even if the iPhone 4 has the antenna problem and i think they fixed it and still if they didnt than just get and case for it and by the way cases are not that expensive

Apple coul... moreA xenon flash makes it fatter so you have to have a big lump on the back, which would make it wobble on a table.
At least it's got a flash unlike that Android Galaxy S heap of junk.

Apple could have done much better by increasing the camera quality along with Xenon flash + incorporating an external card slot.
Considering multimedia, there is nothing that can beat iphone 4.
I would still not recommend this phone to anybody because today's generation wants everything on a single phone and Apple fails to deliver that... :)

there r many fake comparisons coming out that nokia n8 and samsung galaxy are greater than iphone4,but they aren't.i phone4 s the best,don't focus on camera things,see about the os and the applications.i phone has got a great display similar to the i pad and got most advanced applications where the n8 and the galaxy fails............and it's reasonable for it's price.

yeah the htc legend is an awesome phone, my bro owns one. i actually bought the htc desire about 3mths before i went out and bought the ip4 aswell and was the one who recommended him buying the htc legend
kinda weird tho, cas even with the massive 'antenna issues' out of the 3 phones just mentioned id still prob pick the ip4.. and hey...never experienced dropped calls nor loss of bar strength..now understand im not saying its not true
as i said before.. pretty much every single top rated phone here on gsma i can go find countless user complaints, hardware issues, software issues, build quality issues etc..
fact is pretty much every phone has its flaws.. yes even the ip4
fact is u dont see me in those forums continuously reapeating, reapeating and repeating..
i just dont get it, why u so hooked up about it? why cant u just let it go? why does it eat at u so bad?
leave it alone, let it be... have comfort in the phone u just went out and paid good money for knowing u have the 'best' phone
fact is if youve (or anyone else for that matter) never owned the ip4 or at least used it for a extended period of time and u continue to troll and cut and paste quotes without having using the phone yourself.. your as bad as the 'brainless ifans' that go out and buy it cas its cool or its 'apple' or an 'iphone'
someone mentioned before 'critical thinking'..google it. again.. its kinda hard to be critical when ur bias to begin with.

i am an apple hater, but i love this phone, is the best phone ive ever had, i had an HTC hd2 , a blackberry bold 9700, and there is nothing like this one, it is a ***** star phone for me

with a 640 x 960 pixels resolution its almost a third more pixels than the next best display on the market. how many other phones record 720p @ 30 fps??? its the most stable OS on the market and the quickest.. it has alot of limitations set by apple yes... but to say its low tech or sports old features is rubbish
so strange its still regarded as top 3 or higher in most independent review sites on the net..and why so many sites have ip4 comparison reviews?
ive owned over 10 different highend smartphones in the last 18mths and never had any issues with the ip4.never... i actually never thought id own a iphone, i saw how many people had them and that put me off and i didnt like the 3g at all. i apprehensively went out and bought the ip4 and love most things about it expect apples limitations on everything.
i do consider it more of a feature phone because of this but in my mind is the closet thing to a perfect phone i have owned
i love my htc desire aswell because its just more versitile but like with most phones many features are selling points, gimmicks that in the real world rarely get used.. and if i had to pick,.. id pick the ip4..it just does everything so well and fact is ive used my desire maybe 3-4times since i bought the ip4 8weeks ago
so strange that someone elses opinion can differ so much...especially from someone thats never even used nor owned it
trollers, do u look at yourself and think 'wow, im in a forum i have absolutely no interest in but to try rob people of their pleasure of the phone they just went out and paid good money for... am i really that sad? wow!'... really?
