1. Buy for Nice Appearance -> Cover up for antenna issue--> It become a Bad Design
2. Handphone basic feature to call -> Antenna issue --> Not even fulfill basic need
3. Micro Sim card -> Go oversea travel -> Problem finding Micro Sim card.
4. Map needs data call -> Go oversea travel -> Useless Map unless pay for super expansive Roomin charge.
5. imcompatable with other phones suchh as data upload, sync etc.
It is like a marriage to a pretty girl you love at first sight. Later, you will find many problem and stuck. It would be too late divorce which incur loads of suprise panality. Beware before deciding! Apple Logo is nothing afterall

Cisco, 31 Aug 2010"* Hardware design is prone to reception issues"
... moreA case is not required for the iphone. I do not use one. Cases are not exclusive for the iphone at all. Other phones have cases as well. The ip4 is the slimmest smartphone, and you it has nothing to do whether your using a case for it or not.
Sim cards card be cut to fit the ip4's micro sim card slot. Google it.
The ip4 comparison reviews show that its battery life is longer than the Galaxy S. Your friend probably jailbroke his iphone and has been using apps that compromises battery life.
32gb of internal memory is more than enough to most users. If you need more than that on your phone, then the ip4 is obviously not the phone for you, just like a coupe is not for you if you always have 5 people riding with you.
Obviously, the iphone is not for people who do not own a computer. But if you think about it, if I don't have a computer and saved up enough money, don't you think it would be more practical to buy a laptop first before buying a smatphone? As for the iphone being tightly tied to itunes. It's actually a convenient approach. Synching and integration of data is so seamless because everything is compatible. Data management and customization of how you want your data synched between your iphone and your compueter is also very easy. That's one great advantage of Apple's walled approach. But of course, if you're a user who loves to complicate things, adventurous, loves to troubleshoot, and has plenty of time to play around with your devices, then an Android or something else would be a more fun device for you.
The ip4's speaker is loud enough for what it's intended for. It's sound quality is not distorted. Personally, I wouldn't buy a phone to use it as loudspeakers, lol. I prefer headphones. I have the the iphone's earphones and also bought the Bowers & Wilkins headphones for higher audio quality and for noise reduction. Although at work, the ip4's speaker is good and loud enough when listening to Pandora or my music collection.
In the end, it's all about ones personal preference and choice. You decide which device is right for you, and it shouldn't be anyone's concerns. The fact that the ip4 is a bestseller, is proof enough that it works for a lot of users.

Blackberry is a growing market, FYI.
If we compare total user satisfaction, BB mightn't lose to the iPhone.

Draco Maldito, 31 Aug 2010My friend has an iPhone 3Gs and I was able to use and play ... moreWhen did Steve Jobs say that?
That'd be right just make stuff up.
How about I videocall your Blackberry using FRING (a free App) from my iPhone 4, it should work fine apart from the rather obvious fact that your Blackberry doesn't have a front facing camera and doesn't support videocalls.
I know I'll email you a 10MB video, damn Blackberry doesn't support attachments that big either.
I know I'll upload it to YouTube, damn the Blackberry service doesn't support video streaming so you'll have to have separate data on your account.
I'm glad I don't have to put up with all the limitations of Blackberry, they seem pretty sh#t!

My friend has an iPhone 3Gs and I was able to use and play with it for at least 30mins.
I am an iPod fan but totally NOT an iPhone fan.
I think the best deciding factor here is what your heart says, I got a BB Bold 9700. I hate Touch screens and I also hate the fact that Steve Jobs is claiming that this will be the first time people will experience video calling. Well, that technology is very 2004, I video called someone internationally, the best part is, we were using different devices!

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2010"* Hardware design is prone to reception issues"
... more"* Hardware design is prone to reception issues"
Get a case. I've never had a phone without a case anyway.
My Response - the iPhone can't claim to be the thinnest smartphone is a case is required! And that beautiful sratchproof screen? Two customers of mine cracked it after only one drop =o/
"* MicroSIM card support only"
Regular sims can be cut to microSIM size.
My response - No it can't. It's just Apple's ploy to force you to stay with the iPhone
"* No "Flash support in the web browser""
Flash contents are mostly advertising. It's good it doesn't load all that cr*p to waste my bandwidth!
"* No true multitasking for all applications"
Do you really NEED battery draining multitasking on a phone?
My Response - My Galaxy lasts a lot longer than my iPhone 4, even with TRUE multitasking. A mate of mine with an iPhone can't even get a day out of his phone
"* FaceTime video calls work only over Wi-Fi"
I still have not known anyone who uses "video phone" on a regular basis, or even in any basis. Do you?
"* No file transfer over Bluetooth or USB Mass Storage mode"
There's an app for that (jailbroken phone)
My Response - Androids (and most phones) don't require jailbreaks for anything
"* No hardware shutter key for the camera"
2 years of using a 3G, never needed one.
My response - OK I'll give you this one since my phone doesn't have a shutter or LED flash for that matter
"* No FM radio"
Never listed to this either
"* No stereo speakers"
Friend's Nokia has it, don't hear much difference. Any number of speakers this small will suck either way.
My Response - Not that I use radio either, but wouldn't it be nice to have one considering the iPhone is supposedly a multimedia device?
"* No microSD card slot"
With 16GB and 32GB, do you really need one?
My Response - You'd definitely need one if you're going to transfer data to a non-iPhone OR if you run out of memory.
"* No smart dialing"
There's an app for that.
My Response - Yes there is =o]
"* Too dependent on iTunes for loading multimedia content"
I love iTunes! It transferred all my contents from my 3G to my 4 in les sthen 3 minutes! Address Book, Phone book, bookmarks, Maps, Notes, Calenders, play lists, even save games data! It's all there! Amazing.
My Response - I love iTunes too. BUT Androids don't need to be synchronized with iTunes, meaning people without computers (yes, there are still out there without one) can still enjoy the full features of their Droids. Oh, and btw, Androids can synchronize with iTunes with a $5 app. Best of both worlds wouldn't you say?
"* Poor loudspeaker performance"
I read a site somewhere that it ain't that much off from other phones available today. 1 or 2 db difference isn't a big deal. You can't really tell unless you use a digital meter.
My Response - Have you heard the difference between the iPhone loud speaker, the HTC Desire and the Galaxy? BIG Difference! HTC is by far the loudest speaker out of all smartphones, followed closely by the Galaxy.

Nick, 30 Aug 2010"The iPhone sucks." -- me, just a few months ago... moreNick, I would say that your comments are WELL said! I used to be the same as you, an Iphone basher....BUT talking from experience now being an owner of one, this device is amazing and the screen is second to none! I currently also use a BB 9700 as a main phone with Iphone as a second handset as the battery isn't the best! At most a day and this is being drained completely every day and discharged! As for the signal problem the bars do read rather low in most places but never had any signal drop! Now people wonder and say "oh it must be your network"!!!! Well O2 and Vodafone I think are the best in the uk, however it isn't O2 network that is making the Iphone 4 bad as my BB9700 has FULL signal with the Iphone 4 next to it reading 2 bar / 5!!!! Overall I must admit I am satisfied and would encourage others to buy one regardless of all the others Iphone bashers out there who simply cannot AFFORD this luxury handset!

Anonymous, 28 Aug 2010But still no stereo sounds?
higher price paid for useless... moreConsider this... How can you differentiate stereo sound in a 2 1/2" wide device? That is superfluous feature.
2ndly, How much do you really do on a 3" screen?
Perhaps, if Apple can give you so much, why these features be of any constraints for them to add?
They optimise the device to give the best possible experience on a hand-held communication device.
Let us be frank. If Iphone is offered at a Samsungs & Nokias price, there will be few who can resist it.
