Regarding the signal issues, so called "antennage" - what I can say, I tried my best to reduce the signal for at least one bar with the "death grip" and no success at all! :)
Is it because I'm in UK or what? There is no this issue with my iPhone 4, and I got it like 4 weeks ago, running on the iOS4.0...
And most of people use some kind of cases/bumpers anyway.
And the thing is that iPhone 4 is the best pone I ever had and I wouldn't change it to any other phone, eve if it's twice as expensive, who cares, I'm prepared to pay extra for the best quality, reliability, user friendliness, lush design and materials, best apps.
Peace.

mickey mouse, 17 Aug 2010what survey u r talking about ? who do the survey ? .... lo... moreiPhone 4 has multitasking. Instead of taking the easy route and just letting apps run which is causing battery depletion in some Android phones, Apple decided to find a way to enable multi-tasking in a way that didn't impact too much on battery life. You can see what I am talking about in the comment sections of Galaxy S for example, on this website, where people are now advising owners to download App Killers, and use wallpapers of only black colour, to maximise battery life.
Signal attenuation exists on iPhone 4, by virtue of the antenna being outside. What is important however is real life usage, and the survey by Changewave shows that there is 17% fewer drops in calls than the iPhone 3GS.
What's interesting is that whenever possible, I have tried to back my claims with evidence. You keep stating 'facts', insulting users of iPhones as 'dreaming, or blind' yet I rarely see any evidence from you to back your claims.
In the end, that says a lot about your attitude doesn't it?

Bilal, 17 Aug 2010Hello people.. I could see alot of arguments going on be... moreFor the UK there are no problems in reception. Can't say about the phones in the US. Everything works fine over here. The only down side is the price. But great with facetime even clearer than skype.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2010Unfortunately it is Motorola Droid 2 which is facing Antenn... moreOne Survey and Apple is the best.
interesting where the money comes from to back
the wavechange survey from what i've read.
But we'll say its fully independent at this stage.
But seems to be more saying the latest Samsung outperforms it. But then again they could all be biased reviewers and like stereo radio, miniUSB,microSD & divX player and all the other missing stuff right.

mikes mate, 17 Aug 2010Apple will always be behind the other Smart phones.
Don't ... moreUnfortunately it is Motorola Droid 2 which is facing Antennagate now. Can't even hold signal without even holding it LOL! What's their comment going to be, "You are NOT holding it the wrong way?
You can spread BS all you like, but the real world results are there. The survey shows that not only is there less dropped calls in real life, owners of iPhone 4 are very happy with their purchase.
Survey also concluded that the iPhone 4 is outperforming every smartphone on the market available. It also helps that Apple haters like you are keeping the iPhone 4 on everyone's minds, increasing Apple's mindshare.

Adobe makes it's choice: no more Flash for Apple.
Surfing the net nothing like it should be.
Pages don't look the same as it used to be now.
A bit of a cut down web experience now.
Apple fans will now say flash is ads only

mikes mate, 17 Aug 2010All the videos on you-tube are fake then?Give it up Mikes Mate, Antennagate is over. Latest survey by Changewave indicates that the iPhone 4 drops calls less than the iPhone 3GS, which was already a great performer. The iPhone 4 is so far the best iPhone to be produced by Apple.
Anyone who wishes to talk about Antennagate, please proceed to the Droid 2 section.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2010As I write and post this from my iPhone 4, I am holding it ... moreNo,
Your using the new revision versions right.
The one that has the fake software, shows 5 bars all the time, & that has a 3-4 minute delay when in the death grip via software. Then slowly lowers by 1 bar.
The "surprising and easy" fix to hardware

I could see alot of arguments going on be... moreAs I write and post this from my iPhone 4, I am holding it in a "death grip" with my finger right on the black line between the metal antennas, I have 5 bars and it has not changed at all.
I have not been able to reproduce the issue on more than twenty iPhone 4's I have tested.

I am more than happy as Iphone 4 did not get any awards. Serves Apple right. If Iphone 4 would have rec'd an award, I am sure all the Smart people would have organized a major riot & protest.
Anyways, I also just felt that probably the star of the show award should have gone to HTC Desire instead of SE X10 Mini. Anyways, I just realized that HTC did not rec it b'coz of the fact that they are in the process of changing the screen for the Desire.
So what have the freaking IFans have to say about this. How would they defend Steve and Apple for not rec'in any awards. Well all I can suggest to them, is that, if they are replying to this post, then they should just not hold their IPhone 4 the wrong way, else their wifi network would drop to ground Zero and they would not be able to reply as they would be disconnected from the internet. Before I conclude, IP4 deserves just 1 award, Award For The Worst Phone Of The Year, lol..
Cheers!!

Hello people..
I could see alot of arguments going on between the iPhone 4 and other smartphones such as Galaxy S. There is abosolutely NO PHONE in the world as of now that can come close to the iPhone's experience and touch feeling.
Anyways, I am a user of the iPhone 2g and I am very much satisfied with it. I am using since 2007 and yet I love this phone compared to the latest smartphones in the market such as Galaxy S.
Now since I feel that my 2g is kinda slow and outdated. I am keen on getting the iPhone 4. I just love the new iPhone 4 but kinda disappointed about the antenngate issues. So I just wanted to know from the users of iPhone 4 if they are facing some hard times with the network reception on the iPhone 4 OR is it just an over-hyped issue??
MY QUESTION IS ONLY FOR THE iPhone 4 USERS.

Maybe apple just ditch US and shift to UK.Iphone 4 works well in UK carriers and Except Samsung Galaxy S they don't have any real competition.
