hey guys, iphone4 is better or 3gs? Im planning to have either one of it.. And when i made my decision in purchasing iphone4,someone turn me off by saying iphone4 lagging..hmm, guys..any comment? Thanks .or maybe should prefer blackberry instead of apple?

Now that there is a jailbreak the iphone 4 will continue to be the best and we will see it getting better.
i still think even with the slating this phone has received it is still the best phone on the market.

Yes, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy S is the superior phone when looking at purely the specs. And if you want to go just by the numbers, then it would be bette to buy the Galaxy. But you should never go purely by numbers because, remember, in a few months another phone will come around with even better specs!
Keeping that in mind, I got the iPhone 4 and I think it's amazing. Yes, it may be slightly inferior when looking at certain configurations, but as the person below said, the user experience cannot be matched at the moment.

This is obvious sign that the problem is with AT&T in US...hrdly any complaints from people in UK, canada, singapore, germany, australia and elsewhere. Why there is only one iphone carrier in US? And did you know that unlocked iphone is not even available in US to buy, but you can buy it from in Apple in UK or Canada? Seems pretty "un-American" to me!
I am very happy to hear that people around the world are not facing the reception problem with iphone 4. i will buy it when it comes out in india...hopefully by november or december i will buy it

It is important to know the facts before you purchase any phone. But your review (just like official reviews with specs/configuration info) leaves out the user experience. I wish I did more research before buying the Galaxy S. Overall, the satisfaction you get when using the iPhone 4 is higher..i know because my best friend bought an iPhone 4 and believe me, using that phone is so much better. It's hard to pin point the reason. It could be the overall speed, the iPhone 4 is snappier and flows better without any lag. It could be the OS..downloading from the Apple app store is a much better experience than using Android. Plus the Apple OS just seems to work better than Android...Android is cool, but it still seems a little underdeveloped when compared to iOS.
and belive it or not, I find the call quality and reception on my friend's iphone 4 better than my Galaxy S! OK. maybe the reception is equal, but the call quality is definitely better on the iphone! Strange...

Bad Apple ,
I am also using Galaxy S , and Wave Bada OS.
Good phone. I agreed .And also using N97 mini. I am hardcore phone user. I used many models and will give fair rating to these model.
Anyway I forget to tell you that I am a left hander.
Still no problem with the signal.
As I mentioned again , you base on the expert opinion.
I base on the actual live set.
now i up my bargain. $2000/- if signal drop to zero. and you pay me $1000/- only if no zero dropped in signal. U can bring in the expert from the german too
...really need cash to get another set leh....

Yes I tried my best to hold it in the left hand, gripping the bottom left corner and nothing! I actually was disappointed at the time because I wanted to show people the problem haha..:)
Again maybe i'm just lucky! And you're right Steve Jobs acted like an ass with the initial "response" by Apple! But now I think Apple have a good solution with the free case and all. I mean, the case solves the problem 100% and in my opinion, people should use a case anyway for safety. For me, at least, I won't be using the case becaue I love the way the iPHone 4 looks.
Mate, I strongly suggest you upgrade from the 3gs to the iphone 4...trust me you won't regret it! Though congrats on your purchase of the Galaxy S, that's a mighty fine phone too! :)

[deleted post]thanks dude, I have 3GS and Galaxy S, and that is why I said always I am not a hater, but I am moving well away from iphone since the statement from steve jobs, regarding the iphone4, teaching people how to hold their phone, that was an insult to all iphone users with some intelligence and pride,
My question is have you tried to hold your phone with left hand and see how your signal like? almost without any expection the signal drops down to zero.
beside many reports drop calls and bad reception, have many friends who experienced it and they hate it.
anyway good luck and happy phone calls..!

$1000/- bucks for any takers. I am in Singapore. Test my set. Signal from M1. If zero signal I pay you the amount . If Not , you pay me the amount......

No but really, I also thought there would be a problem, esp with all the media coverage and stuff. I got me an iPhone 4 and guess what - no problem whatsoever! Even when I am in weak network coverage, no problem. The bars may go down a few (which is supposed to happen when there is poor coverage!) but i have no dropped calls! And the call quality is actually better than the blackberry i had before. And the multimedia is WAY better than any blackberry. Not sure about the others, but I'm a satisfied customer!
