Awesome phone...but the customer service at All Phones Chermside in Brisbane is the worst Ive ever encountered. I will NEVER buy a cell phone there again.

One more day and the iphone 4 will be released, I'm really getting excited and it's going to be in my view the most powerful phone out there.

It's exciting times and it's going to be a sellout.

Retina is only 3-5% better than Super AMOLED which is not even visible to a person with perfect vision, Retina also consumes 30% more battery.. Read it on the blog

[deleted post]There aren't enough amoled displays to cover the demands of Apple's iPhone, it might be alright on small production run phones but the technology can't possibly supply the number of iPhones that will be sold.

Besides Apples screen performs better, especially in sunlight.

Hey Apple, how can i use my normal sim on your super fantastic absolutely mind-blowing magical device if it uses micro sim card?

And where people can still cut their sim to suit that magical slot of your magical device, how the hell are can they use that magical micro sim on ordinary phone?

As far as i can see, only ONE magical phone now use that kind of sim card. Get lost

Narcolepsy, 23 Jun 2010engadget review said that the iphone 4 had the best screen ... morePhone arena already did a review of the samsung wave. They were impressed by its amoled display as well, but according to their review, pixelization can be seen, and there's over saturation of colors and does not offer an excellent outdoor visibility. They even said that the 3gs offers better outdoor visibility, take note, they're comparing it to the 3gs. With that said, I think the iphone's retina display offers more clarity with virtually no pixelization and still offers great visibility under direct sunlight. I'm not saying that amoled is not great, but based on professional impressions, the retina display is a little better.

Seriously now, do the people who post here actually read their inane drivel? I don't understand the necessity to berate a product just because of where it has come from. Now, don't get me wrong, I own an HTC Desire and I haven't bought into the iPhone so far but you have to admit that the fact I can catch a train and find 75% of the phones out and being used are iPhones means that, even with its limitations, it's hugely popular.
And a huge percentage of these current users will upgrade because of the app store and the apps they have bought for there previous device. In truth, I am considering an iPhone4 due to the underwhelming Android Market. I have found a couple of useful apps but the main bulk seem to be terrible. Most mobile phone magazines have reviews of software and 90% of these are for the iPhone/ iPad.
The Desire is a wonderful phone but I do have niggles just like some iPhone users will have niggles (main concerns are the "anonymous" texts I receive when someone has left a voicemail, audible notifications for no reason at all and the music player quitting playback for the hell of it).
It would be nice to see a thread without the bashing as it comes across as extremely childish and a hint of jealousy at Apples good fortune. Regardless of what the haters think, Steve Jobs has turned Apple around and let's face it, without him, we wouldn't have seen any Pixar films.
                  Ta ta for now...

engadget review said that the iphone 4 had the best screen of any mobile on the market currently. I find that a big statement. The super amoled display of the samsung wave is pretty amazing. I would like to see these two devices go face to face before such assumptions are made.

iPhone 4 is very stylish phone with very good specs, but Samsung I9000 Galaxy and HTC Desire are technicly better!

Ive used iphone 3gs for 2 months and sold it coz ive found its really hard to type and going to backspace by tapping. I text a lot, so i love my nokia n72 :) I give it 10/10. My next touch phone would be android powered motorola milestone xt720, not this iOS again which has no adobe flash and runs with mirco sim card!

It was very detailed. They gave very good points and constructive criticisms that are inoffensive. Now I'm eager to see GSM Arena's review. Maybe they're putting it together as we speak.
