Anonymous, 14 Jun 2010Dude, its you who is outdated. There's no such thing as a N... moreOh yeah huh. You are right. Nokia used metal and glass on their high end devices. I remember their high end n95, n96, n97 and n900. They're all made of high grade metal casing and glass screens for their resistive touchscreens. So you are very right, hahahahahahaha

ameen, 14 Jun 2010what the heck is microSIM card? am I outdated or it's somet... moreMicro SIMs are essentially the same SIM cards with a smaller outer plastic. They serve no special purpose than to make them unusable on normal phones.
Isheeps should cut the cr^p about its the future because none of the other manufacturers are making phones with micro SIMs.

                        @ Anonymous 4Bbp

                        Actually the Nokia N8 has
                        Talk-time (maximum):
                        GSM 720 mins
                        WCDMA 350 mins
                        Standby time (maximum):
                        GSM 390 h
                        WCDMA 400 h
Video playback time (H.264 720p, 30 fps, maximum): 6 h (via HDMI to TV)
                        Video recording time (H.264 720p, 25 fps, maximum): 3 h 20 mins
Video call time (maximum): 160 mins
Internal memory: 16 GB music playback time (offline mode, maximum): 50 h

So even on average older Symbian os's & mobile hardware 3G only takes a few hours off of your battery, note tht 10% difference. So even running on 3G, the N8 will theorectically last longer than Iphone.

Baldi, 13 Jun 2010Nokia OS is outdated people. It doesn't work well at all on... moreDude, its you who is outdated. There's no such thing as a Nokia OS. Nokia uses Symbian^3 (brand new version customized for touch UI with single tap, pinch zoom and all), Maemo (Linux) and its replacement Meego.

What short term memory you have, forget that 3Gs is mostly plastic. High end Nokias use metal. The latest N8 uses anodized aluminium, same stuff used in your macs.

                            What else Isheep?

There is no mention of the capacity of the battery for the Iphone 4, but it's large. But while at 15" the retina doesn't make much of a difference, there will be a slightly more sharper, brighter display, but you will need better than average eysight to notice any difference over previous best TFT display.

Maybe due to the Iphone having a 600MHz CPU, if it does? that it might manage to outperform the N8 but unlikley. WHY? The Symbian platform is leading the way for ultra lightweight low power consumption technologies, that includes the OS itself. It has a lower carbon footprint than any other phone. The N8 is built with green standards in mind.

S^3 is 30% lower on energy battery life than previous symbian OS's, the AMOLED give 20% + more battery life. So that's 50% longer lasting device over previous symbian OS mobiles. It has more low power hardware technologies built-in.

                                @ baldi

The N8 is made from a quality one piece aluminium shell, with glass screen, not plastic. Iphone users might want to or not want to know that the N8 is completely GPU hardware accelerated by a Graphics chip that is 4x more powerful than Iphone 4. 3 homescreen 5 widgets per homecreen, Kinetic scrolling, swiping, multi surface layer transparency, coverflow, ghosting, misting. Live animated wallpapers. Simple & quick One touch/click functionality UI that's 10 times faster than older symbians because the front end now runs at 60FPS.

Top 5 Reasons I’ll Buy The New iPhone:

                                      1-Longer Battery Life

This was honestly the killer feature of the iPad and according to Apple, the new battery handles up to 40 hours of audio playback, and over 7 hours of talk time on 3G. While I’ll have to see it to believe it, this is honestly one of the primary reasons for upgrading the phone.

                                      2- A Better Camera

While I can’t say that the new Retina display feature is really going to make a big difference for me, having a 5 megapixel camera with a flash at all times is definitely useful. I already get plenty of use out of my existing iPhone camera, but with a flash, and with more pixels, you can take the photo from your camera and have it sent to be printed on a large poster, right away. That’s pretty impressive.

                                      3-Multi-Tasking

This has to be another killer feature of the iPhone. While many phones have had multi-tasking functionality for a while, the iPhone hasn’t added this feature until the iPhone 4. Since I happen to be an iPhone user already, I’m looking forward to this component of the upgrade!

                                      4- iMovie

The new iMovie will let you edit HD movies while on the go. Honestly, there’s no comparison to another phone, this is a first. While we haven’t had the opportunity to use this, hands-on, I’m extremely excited about this feature. Perhaps we’ll start using our iPhone to produce our Social Times interviews!

                                      5- CPU A4

Just a very fast and amazing processor. The inclusion of the A4 chip brings desktop class performance to the iPhone.
