          @foley
          nokia 7710 is suck....
maybe nokia is the first vendor to brimg touch screen phone to the market, but it doesn't make any big impact,
          diasppear on the deep sea....

          what jaycha say is clear,
whatever you say, it is absolutely true that iphone is trendsetter,
it is pretty safe to say that iphone is the one to raise touch screen to the market,
and then nokia hurry up follow apple by making symbian 5th edition that really2 dated and old,
even new symbian ^3 is ridiculous....
you know what, even android the new player can beat symbian on every aspect,
nokia sleeps too long, when they wake up, nokia will be over...........

Nokia took an unbelievable beating from a newcomer in the phone arena.
This is reality, then if you want you can play with touchscreen, megabites, and related BS.

Before iphone came out with touch screen everybody said (almost everybody) it is not going to work. Fast forward 2 years everybody is trying to come out with touch screen. In 2008 when iphone came out with the app store many said that "they could get a better app in the open market for other OS". Now everybody are trying to open their app store. Screen size: 3.5" in 2007 was considered too big. Critics even said you cannot have a phone of that size. Now 4.3 HTC looks an awesome size to them. Does this tell you anything about who is the leader in smartphone business

Wow, a lot of people bashing each other, kinda funny. Android, Symbian, and iOS share some features. Let's see:
                  - Want to send an SMS/MMS?... press on the icon, o-m-g :O.
                  - Want to make a call?... press on the icon, o-m-g :O.

                  etc...
People, at least get your facts straight. These minimal things are amongst the OSes. Now, the big difference is the UI/UX/GUI. That is what you're suppose to be bashing, not the "features" (ie sending a text message
-_-). The iPhone has a "dumb" UI because it is aimed at the average joe, where as Symbian has a "complex" UI because it's aimed at.... haven't figured that out yet.
People seem to think that Symbian is far superior to the iPhone. May I ask on what department? (FYI I said features, not hardware, as in the OS core). Just because on Symbian you have to go through a lot of clicks/presses/menus does not mean that it is better than any other OS, now does it? Moving along, FaceTime is a big evolution from Video Calling. We're sorry if you live in the Eastern side of the world (ie Europe), but here in the states some haven't even experienced Video Calling because of the mobile carriers. Some people haven't even heard of Video Calling. Is that their fault? Of course not. Europe and Asia (and Japan) have been at least a decade ahead from the US in respect to hardware.
If you want to bash companies, at least do it right. Don't come here and say "Well, I have FM radio transmitter... blah blah blah", that's hardware -_-

I wish Nokia releases a new communicator since its been a while for the E90 .. There are 2 new E's the E6 and E7 in Nokia's future devices, I'm really hoping one of them is the Communicator, I'm guessing the E7 is the Communicator because its on the toplist of the E series. Oh ya and Nokia's future smartphone table or list can be found in the News section, the topic is about the C7 being leaked, there ull find the picture. Also there is a N9 above the N8 and its on top off all the list, I wonder wat is it gna be.

Anonymous, 13 Jun 2010Dude who operates a hardware qwerty on a smartphone like N9... moreMates, I did say 'original defination' right. The E90's great father was called a communicator as it took smartphones to a higher level with a qwerty keyboard. Besides you can operate it just find with one hand without having to slide out the keyboard every time.
Nokia has since merged the communicator range with their top end smart phones. This is one example to the point I made about the smartphones now are improved with changes.

The point I was making was that while the inclusion of certain features adds to a smartphone functionality, the exclusion of a feature does not mean its not a smartphone to begin with.
