There might be lots of good things...but lets list the problems first.
- No radio
- No file share through bluetooth
- Constans fight to unlock the iphone.
- The operator charges are ridiculous! (With the 3g/3gs anyway)
I never owned an Iphone. But if they would give the phone to other operators...and with reasonable cost, I would take the iphone 4.
Ps: Buying a 3gs model... Unlocked here from finland... Is STILL costing over 700 euro (maybe Its 800 something $)...thats MAD MONEY! I have to work for a living, so with those prices...you can keep your iphone.

[deleted post]the front facing camera will probably be available for skype calling and whatnot. As for wifi only, this is not Apples doing, but AT&T's. Why would Apple care how you use whateever features it builds into it's phones? AT&T's network simply can't handle the 3G video calls. One day they may enable them, but for now the network is too weak.
Also, Steve Jobs gains nothing by locking down his hardware, except for the fact that the user experience is maintained throughout. Its not like they make more money when we aren't able to multitask or something. Seriously, get your mind out of the gutter and think for once why they might lock down certain capabilities, at least at first.

that good is the iphone 4g, that problem it gives me that americans do not appreciate the price, I'm from Argentina and here will be worth $ 1000 or more. and you complain. greetings from buenos aires

At the end of the day the difference between Apple and Nokia Fanboys is simple. Just ask yourself this:
If their device of choice lacks some important and pretty common feature, who would be apologetic for their device and make excuses like "I don't need it" or "What I have is good" and "But it's so pretty".

i dont generalize people...but those who ask for android really know their stuff...the iphone is for simpletons i find cz its easy to use n loads of ppl have 1 so NO its not for normal people...ive sold loads of x10s n desires to non techys but if they have the money they will always be happy with the iphone no matter what people say...most consumers just want reliability and other brands generally dont have it...so no matter how poor tech wise the iphone is..it will forever sell on the basis of rep and reliability...personaly i have a g1 bb bold and ipod touch and i cant choose but my customers who want a good phone and will pay will ALWAYS be happy with the iphone..END OF!! I personally think the iphone is FAAR too restricted and android is better but i have had my phone and seen some android handsets crash loads! iphone rarely has problems for me and it just sells itself. as i said before blackberry is where the boom is at 50% of our sales have to be blackberrys !!! btw my figures are amazing i did 80% of full timers target working a 30% of their hours in may... so i might not be ure sales consultant but the customers LOVE ME!!

For godsake u can't even connect with an Iphone, u can't send files by bluetooth from and Iphone to another device only maybe if u found an app for it and if it worked that is. Apple are so close on their devices but that doesn't mean u can't connect with other devices :s I had an iphone 3GS and it feels so empty as a smartphone its just filling it with apps that's it, oh yea and the touch screen + plus the multitouch are the good stuff but that's it (just get an ipod touch if u want the iphone but without the phone. That's not a smartsphone purpose :s

It doesn't matter how tehnologically lacking the iPhone 4 is. The fact of the matter is, at the end of the day, thanks to Apple's brilliant advertising and marketing campaigns and branding, and the hundreds of thousands of diehard fanboys and girls out there thanks to the marketing, the iPhone 4 will sell well. And love em or hate em, you have to give props to them for continuing to come out with stylish, sleek, appealing products. Selling has always been 80-90% appearance, and 10-20% actual substance. So Apple will continue to do well, and that's why I hold some Apple stock LOL.
So guys, quit your complaining or your boasting, it doesn't matter. Like I said, in the end, this phone will sell well, and as a company, Apple is very smart to get so much market penetration. Those of us that do our research will know which product best suits our individual needs.
PS. Does anyone know the resolution on the front-facing cam? Is it VGA? There doesn't seem to be any mention of it anywhere,

Why do you waste your time convincing yourselves iphones is crap??
Better then the xperia?? Buddy plzzz Xperia is not even better then the iphone 3GS.
Nokia N8 Looks nice. It has an amazing camera 12 megapixels. But what about the apps?? Can it be Jailbroken?? The video is not even 30 FPS.
Who cares if the iphone doesnt have expandable memory. I have a 16gb and thats never full. How much crap do you people keep on your phones.
Iphone has the biggest display screen with the BEST RESOLUTION. Stainless material, cannot be scratched.
This phone is ridiiicuuuulousss, I cant beleive their are so many haters.
