i have been using the 4s for a year plus and it still works great, even with the ios 7 on it. battery life is still cool...guess its because i dont use too many battery sapping apps. im looking at getting the iphone 5s, then ill stay away from phones for another 2 years before upgrading...but in all, the 4s is a strong n fast phone.

dude basically the problem you are facing is not a problem at all.go to settings and turnoff auto sync with icloud and then u will see you that your contact are back.
second solution sync iphone only with pc not with icloud.

Has anyone experience problems loosing all contact details. It suddenly vanish "POOF"..it already happened numerious times. Im tired of putting all contact list back and forth. Any solutions? Is upgrading my ios is the answer?

Ive got the newest update and I don't think that's done the battery any favours. Think I'll be getting the iphone 5s on thursday... I'll let you all know how it compares!
