The battery life will be bad and so will the performance. Look at the iPhone SE 2020 or a refurbished iPhone 6S/7+/8/8+/x for a good deal on a modern phone. Also for paid apps and games, you obviously have to pay for them, but app compatibility might not be in your favor because the software version is stuck on iOS 9.3.5.
