Paging through all comments, specs and reviews, my personal opinion comes to the following: Nokia was number one, but since moving to windows, all the software reliability is not there anymore. Only hardware. If you look at android phones, all software basically the same. So the choice is hardware...make, model, price etc etc. Apple is the only product in the market that is not dependent to someone else for software reliability, features etc. So, it's not so complicated anymore! The smartphone market and smartphones in particular, are controlled by the operating system. Android phones are dependent on what Google gives them, Nokia is dependent on Microsoft. That leaves me to a logic choice that Apple's combination is more acceptable. The specs, performances and looks are personal. But the os is the deciding point. All android phones are working with the same basic os. And windows need to prove itself. Master of os, belle/symbian, is not on the market in the near future. So, it leaves me with only one choice...iphone. Is the logic wrong?

The Google and Samsung does not support any new updates after 1 year. So pretty much, the S3 becomes obsolete in terms of upgrades when a s4 comes out. Pretty much means, no updates will be available anymore when the s4 comes out. Which means, lower resell value. Apple on the other hand, allows the phones to be updated up to 3 years. So this make its a much better long term investment. So right now, yes, my ip4s is like the ip5, only because apple allowed it to be like that, even though the ip5 has superior performance over the ip4s, features are the same, once again, (because apple allows it).
S3 problems.
Feel the ip5, feel the s3, one feels lika toy, one feels like a quality phone.
Breakable screen. Very very fragile screen.
Plastic build doesn't feel good.
Very broken, operating system. That has more to do with android itself, with its glitches. As to date, Android is very fragmented because everyone (HTC SONY, Motortolla) are all using android.
Random dropped calls.
Random phone reboots.
Random phone cycling.
Text messages sometimes not going through.
Extreme Battery Drain / Slow Charging
Over heating.
Auto-Brightness Bugs
Bluetooth Is Basically Broken
Major Instability
Lockscreen Widgets / Camera App
malware problems

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2013Been using this phone for a week now, so far battery drains... moreliar! Im a iPhone 4S user and my pal IPhone 5. My iPhone 4S battery sucks compare to my friend IPhone 5. Loading a content and watching my 1080p video via AV player that i installed at the same time, texting, calling and even the notification is on is not bad. Both are good enough. I use my iphone 4s for almost a whole day and iphone 5 till another day (both heavy usage).

Samsung uses the "our specs are higher and price is lower on our products. buy it now." but the ip5 defeated the s3 in performance tests. This shows specs doesn't matter. by 2020 Samsung is also going to have a million core cpu, and a 30 mega pixel camera. who the hell cares about specs. Oh right, fandroids do.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2013What I actually meant was some people come here and say &qu... morewhat kind of argument was that? have you just said that iphone is better just because it is better? you expect anyone to buy a cellphone based on that, i agree that just higher numbers don't mean a better phone, despite it must be highly considered, but user experience became less reliable since people start to think that Iphone(ios) and galaxy(android) are soccer teams(i'm brasilian), and cheering has no relation with the real performance of the team or the cellphone.

These comments are worthless because when it comes to daily life experience, Iphone offers better speed, better connection, better sound etc. Maybe it has lower specifications on paper, but in real life it offers better specifications. We live in real life, not in numbers' world :D Thus, having a lower Ghz processor doesnt mean this phone is slower, people must understand this firstly. In addition, some guys blame people for buying an expensive phone. These comments are worst comments in the universe, everyone cares for his/her own economy. We shouldn't intervene in other people's money issues. I think my post is clear enough.

Iphone fans always insist specs are not important just to defend their beloved phone that's been outpaced in specs by the Droids. Why then iphone upgraded the screen from 3.5 to 4 inches? The RAM from 512 MB to 1 GB? And add more features like LTE and even copy Android's notification bar?

The specs are not important just in cpu and battery but in camera or resolution or network or any other things specs are so important.

Give you an example:
I have phone A with 3000 mAH .. and i have phone B with 1500 mAH
Phone A audio playback 35 hrs .. Phone B audio playback 40 hrs
Both allow video playback of 10 hrs.
Which news better judge the phones? The specs or the actual playback time or the specs?
Sure specs will give a rough idea on how good the device is.. but the actual performance gauge is still real life reviews.

Ricky Ong, 25 Jan 2013Screen only 4" not impressive. Battery capacity also small.Have you seen the SG3 battery in action? The galaxy battery lasts less than 8 hours with 3g connection. I cant even use whatsapp the whole day, thats a smartphone for you?

As far as I am aware tech experts are experienced with the more complicated tools.

Of course people are going to look at the specifications. It is called competition. It is in our nature to compete. If comparing specifications were not necessary then we are better off going back to the basic brick phones.

I read some opinions that they said Android is for experts.Why?Which feature of Android makes it for experts?I saw everywhere that great and apps for expers are for iOS not Android.You can see all of programming languages are available for iOS.
