I switched from Samsung and I have to say this phone is phenomenal! The quality of the apps is truly something else. I understand now why Apple users defend so vigorously. Unless you have tried you will never know. Regret some stupid things I said before.

Aluminum body looks cool but is easy to scratch, Proprietary connector, incompatible with previous-gen accessories (needs adapter), The new display is not proportionally bigger, but only taller, Unadapted apps run letterboxed due to the unusual resolution, nano-SIM support only, Apple Maps app not up to scratch, No USB Mass Storage mode, No FM radio, No stereo speakers
No microSD card slot, No NFC connectivity (though that may be nitpicking), Stuck with iTunes for loading content, Mono audio recording in videos

just think before purchasing Iphone5 .. what is the main feature i am gonna get with having this phone.. only size which is not perfect as its merely little bit taller and not even wider so this ineffective feature deserves this difference in money so simply if you have 4s don't ever upgrade to 5 , just be wise !! Apple is falling cause of its limitation in developments & upgrades ..

I don't see what people are bitching about... the iphone 5 is actually very awesome.. I've only ever bought 2 iphones, I4 and I5 and they're all the f*&%!$ same. But the iphone is already a good phone so there's no need to buy every new damned iphone. I've had something like 12 or 13 android phones and I've loved em all but this one is probably one of my favorites altough the screen change fragmented the applications it's still a great handset.
The one thing that keeps drawing me back to iphone is the retina display, their RGB matrix looks better than pentile hands down and samoled HD still has issues with burn in (my Droid RAZR is burned quite badly)
iPhone (in my humble opinion) is the best all around smartphone available though it takes a big hit for the price. I still love my android phones.

Funny also that presumable you yourself are intelligent yet cannot google the answer for yourself. The 'I' in Apple's iProducts began with the iMac which stood for Internet Mac.
Stands to reason that it is the same for iPhone, as the Internet became very important with the dawn of smartphones.
Too bad you couldn't figure that out for yourself on your Google phone.

This is my opinion of the iPhone 5. Before I get into it, I must point out that I am a Samsung and Android fanboy, so my opinion is very colored. So, that my disclaimer is stated, my opinion shall be stated. I feel that this device is quite beautiful. Who am I kidding, all iPhones are beautiful. That said, there are many things about this device, it's design, and hardware that I don't like. The weight and thinness of this device make it feel like a toy, and also kind of make it feel cheaper. The black models coating scratches and scuffs far too easily for a coating of it's type. And that screen! Dear God, that screen!!! Not only is it not HD (because, if Apple's "Retina" ambitions are anything to go by, the iPhone will never get HD), but it's size is horrible! I'll admit, I've grown accustomed to large screens, but that 4", 9:16 aspect ratio screen on that iPhone shape that everyone has grown accustomed to in recent years just looks small, strange, and funny. I cannot, and will never, agree with a screen that small with a 9:16 aspect ratio. On other devices with 9:16 aspect ratios, they may not be that much bigger than the iPhone 5 -- well, they are, but that isn't the point -- but at least the design of the BODY is done in such a way to so that it actually LOOKS right. It looks wrong and out of place on the iPhone 5. Bad way of implementing it. Now, if only people would stop buying into Apple's Retina fantasy for the iPhone 5 so that it could properly compete on the screen front with its competition. I don't care if "Your eyes can't distinguish individual pixels", it's still not HD. Plus, going by the fact that most people actually have greater than 20/20 vision, Apple's so called Retina is bogus. I hate Apple and all of their products, I hate the fact that they are trying to quell competition, but it doesn't mean I don't want them to properly compete in the mobile realm. If they can actually begin to innovate again, and stop trying to kill competition, they are more than welcome in my books.

Dear Android fans, I don't really understand you lot....I'm biased to any phone however was going to purchase an iphone hence why reading the iphone forum but IF you lot dislike the iphone so much why bother trolling on here!!! ??? Why don't you go to your own page to make you suggestions and comments? Are you lot really that lonely and sad that you know that Android is losing sales over iphone or something? Or just that Android users are really that sad that they cannot afford an iphone?

They were both highly innovative once but now they nothing but money making machines who make the most money but have no real original ideas and just rip off ideas from other people.
But the difference is China just don't give a crap about patent laws where Apple uses all it's money to spend it's way through the legal system, and now people are starting to see some common sense with iPhone 5 being so mediocre and you can't even have the songs you want on IOS because of the restrictions on iTunes.
