This is my opinion of the iPhone 5. Before I get into it, I must point out that I am a Samsung and Android fanboy, so my opinion is very colored. So, that my disclaimer is stated, my opinion shall be stated. I feel that this device is quite beautiful. Who am I kidding, all iPhones are beautiful. That said, there are many things about this device, it's design, and hardware that I don't like. The weight and thinness of this device make it feel like a toy, and also kind of make it feel cheaper. The black models coating scratches and scuffs far too easily for a coating of it's type. And that screen! Dear God, that screen!!! Not only is it not HD (because, if Apple's "Retina" ambitions are anything to go by, the iPhone will never get HD), but it's size is horrible! I'll admit, I've grown accustomed to large screens, but that 4", 9:16 aspect ratio screen on that iPhone shape that everyone has grown accustomed to in recent years just looks small, strange, and funny. I cannot, and will never, agree with a screen that small with a 9:16 aspect ratio. On other devices with 9:16 aspect ratios, they may not be that much bigger than the iPhone 5 -- well, they are, but that isn't the point -- but at least the design of the BODY is done in such a way to so that it actually LOOKS right. It looks wrong and out of place on the iPhone 5. Bad way of implementing it. Now, if only people would stop buying into Apple's Retina fantasy for the iPhone 5 so that it could properly compete on the screen front with its competition. I don't care if "Your eyes can't distinguish individual pixels", it's still not HD. Plus, going by the fact that most people actually have greater than 20/20 vision, Apple's so called Retina is bogus. I hate Apple and all of their products, I hate the fact that they are trying to quell competition, but it doesn't mean I don't want them to properly compete in the mobile realm. If they can actually begin to innovate again, and stop trying to kill competition, they are more than welcome in my books.

Dear Android fans, I don't really understand you lot....I'm biased to any phone however was going to purchase an iphone hence why reading the iphone forum but IF you lot dislike the iphone so much why bother trolling on here!!! ??? Why don't you go to your own page to make you suggestions and comments? Are you lot really that lonely and sad that you know that Android is losing sales over iphone or something? Or just that Android users are really that sad that they cannot afford an iphone?

They were both highly innovative once but now they nothing but money making machines who make the most money but have no real original ideas and just rip off ideas from other people.
But the difference is China just don't give a crap about patent laws where Apple uses all it's money to spend it's way through the legal system, and now people are starting to see some common sense with iPhone 5 being so mediocre and you can't even have the songs you want on IOS because of the restrictions on iTunes.

" the iFone trademark was filed in Mexico in 2003, a full four years before Apple filed to trademark the iPhone. Despite the rather obvious priority issue, Apple decided to sue iFone in 2009 in an attempt to invalidate the company’s name for being too similar to the iPhone. The predictable response was a countersuit by iFone, and the court battles have been swinging in iFone’s favor ever since.
The move could prove costly to Apple in more ways than one. In addition to losing the ability to sell devices under the iPhone trademark in Mexico, iFone is also suing for damages for past infringement, asking for a minimum of 40% of all iPhone sales to date in the Mexican market. While those numbers aren’t nearly as large as they are in the U.S., it still would represent a substantial payment. It's not yet clear whether the embargo on using the iPhone name will go into effect before sales of the iPhone 5 start on Friday, or if this will trigger Apple to loosen the purse strings to negotiate a settlement with iFone, but given the circumstances it would seem that Apple has precious little leverage this time around."

android freedom , ui , capabilities are far far better! see also jellybean smoothness! and for adobe flash or any game it is simple, just download any apk from internet! that is why android even in midranges of xperia 2011 or ace plus or mini 2 are far better than iphones! iphone 5 is only taller! and 3 times more costly for nothing that my midrange sony ericsson live with walkman can't do!

Dude if u c hardware of iphone 5 n note 2 than note 2 is better just os different . If Google ill improve android os much better android ill b king. Apple ios sum how mannege to run ios fast with low specification of hardware. Think same hardware of note 2 with ios . Google just improve ur android run smooth with low hardware specification I used iphone 4s n note 2 . Note 2 is better with 2 gb ram real multitasking

Saw this in stores today. And was totally let down by the whole thing. Screen doesnt seem bigger, just taller.
Not worth the upgrade at all.
