"So what does all this data mean? On a basic level,
you can see that iOS apps crashed more than
Android apps during this time period. But
Crittercism’s Levy cautions that this doesn’t
necessarily mean that overall iOS apps crash
more than Android apps. That’s because Apple had recently released a new version iOS 5 in
October. Android’s new Ice Cream Sandwich
operating system (Android 4.0), meanwhile, had
not been widely released on phones yet at the
time of this study. “I expect as Ice Cream
Sandwich just launched and the new Nexus S phone launched (during the study), we’ll expect
the same situation to occur (with Android) as
what happened (with iOS),” Levy says."
Statistic is a handy tool to prove what you want to, disillusionally i wonder!!!

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2012Even long time Android champions are getting fed up with An... moreThese charts clearly shows how crappy is the IOS apps compared to Android. Apple users always talk about fragmentation of Android but don't see IOS fragmentation. They boast that even the old iPhone could use the latest update. What they don't see is that some features are disabled just to accommodate to the old devices.
Just to show you guys that IOS is not that superior to Android as what you might think:

AnonD-56991, 06 Oct 2012Let me spell something out for you...
Galaxy S3 cost about... moreREMEMBER THIS?? do u !!?!!
"You might get more money back
when you sell iPhone but the S3
is still cheaper and a 64gb iPhone
costs over £200 more than a
16gb S3 with 64gb memory card,
and you paying a Hell of a lot
more for Apps and features on
iPhone, so overall it could easily
cost more than three times as
much to run an iPhone than an
S3."
these are your words in the sgs3 forums...
well this post should definitely tell u that people like U are, and never were, needed on this forum, we do check out other forums and not just forums we actually check out other mobiles but they Pale in comparison with the experience of using an iphone...
Try to crack the plain and simple ios and you'll realise how much simple it is in comparison to your complex android...
android is complex where it shouldn't be and is simple (also) where it shouldn't be...
the problem that it lags is not in its complexity, it lies within its inconsistent coding...

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2012Also just to be clear, most in the industry know Samsung to... moreThere's always been a level of fair play and a certain amount of copying in the tech industries because if one person comes up with an idea someone else improves it and that's how technology evolves and improves and most companies understand that and let it happen to a certain extent.
But Apple uses all these vague little patents to attack their competition and slow down the evolution of tech.
And yeah it is good in one way because it forces people to come up with completely different ideas but it's bad for customers if they don't want to share those ideas and that will seriously slow advancements down, and Apple really is most to blame for future phones not being as good as they could be.

The fact is LG is now suing Samsung as well just that it's not reported.
They learnt their lesson tho during the lawsuit, and produced the SGS3. Not hat they couldn't do it before, but they were just lazy. So, in a way, sometimes lawsuits can produce innovation.

AnonD-56991, 08 Oct 2012That monolithic level of patent trolling is exactly why App... moreYup I agree, however it is NOT just Apple who are stocking on patents, it is EVERYBODY. Unfortunately, the patent system is broken, and everybody is forced to protect themselves. Even if you didn't sue anybody, you would still have to protect yourself to PREVENT from being sued,
Apple going after Android however, is quite straightforward, Eric Schmidt was on the board, he saw IOS, Android for phones suddenly magically transformed from Blackberry clone to iOS clone. Steve blocked Eric from iPad, and Android suddenly magically slow on tablets unlike in smartphone case, the industry already has silently acknowledged this, just that they needed a counter to iOS so most kept quiet.
Now that WP8 is gaining strength, more people are talking frankly about it.

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2012Interesting article on why Apple beefed up its patent portf... moreThat monolithic level of patent trolling is exactly why Apple is killing off future innovation, because they've become so powerful if anyone wants to innovate or just have the next logical step in phone tech Apple will try to block it if gives anyone a financial advantage over them, and Apple doesn't really innovate anymore so you can't just sit and wait for them.

Even long time Android champions are getting fed up with Android's unsolvable problems.
http://www.zdnet.com/the-innocence-of-android-fans-7000004667/
This writer was a strong Android campaigner and ALWAYS recommended Android above iOS, yet got fed up and changed to iOS. Why? Due to Android's unsolvable problems.

[deleted post]It's important to note that other phones have serious issues but they don't get covered by he media. Just as you haters say, don't be a sheep lol.
SGS3, instead of scuffs, actually crack for no reason at all, and Android Authority reported this. At least iPhone owners are informed of possible flaws, Android owners have no due and discover when it's too late. Just check SGS3 page and every comment page has a complaint by SGS3 owners.
http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s3-casing-issues-plague-smartphone-samsung-repair-affected-units-101957/
Funny how this is not true on the iPhone page, all we hear are complaints by non-owners hating on Apple lol.

Interesting article on why Apple beefed up its patent portfolio.
http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/10/creative-pushed-steve-jobs-to-armor-up-for-the-smartphone-patent-war/
Turns out Creative filed for a patent and the moment it was granted, they immediately sued Apple for 100 million and won. Apple then realized it was important to patent their inventions or approach to design. By the way, Creative sued them on keeping songs, in a list!
