The iPhone 5 is a great phone however every phone has its limit. I don't recommend the update to iOS9. After upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 9 I experienced problems such as battery life loss. processing speed loss and minor lag in some applications (pre-installed and downloaded). Another issue with the update is an error where some apps fail to update through the AppStore while using mobile data. Apps update fine while connected to a WiFi network.

Everything I detest about technology seems to find its way into Apple's latest alleged upgrades and now, where once I was a champion of their products, I hate Apple too. This poss (check spelling) poor company rob consumers blind and fiddle with the workings and layout of iTunes like you wouldn't believe. I use a Macbook Pro, an iPad and an iPhone 5 and I hate these pointless (unless they're sent to iron out previous and equally disastrous) upgrades with a passion beyond words. Every time there's an "update" in software, something else fails, and it's usually the music. Where once I could play any track in almost any order I wanted to, I no longer have that option. Currently I've lost the ability to play any tracks in order (iPad and iPhone) and the shuffle is stuck on one song unless I change it manually by hitting the shuffle button again. Did I mention how much I hate Apple? Oh, I thought I may have missed it. Suffice to say, the moment I get paid, the iPhone is getting ceremonially smashed into a thousand pieces and I'll go back to using a good old Nokia 8850 (I love those phones), an iPod (that still works) and a camera. You can't beat a tool made specifically for the job. Meanwhile, Apple, do me a favour: stop fiddling with yourself and maybe ask a customer or two if they want these changes. Better still, try testing them before you roll out the crip (spelling again)!

So I decided to take the iPhone 5 over the weekend, had the OS upgraded to 9.1, and I must say I'm very happy with the phone. I do however find it very different to Android, but in a good way.

Dear friends i have a problem , last night i've upgraded my iphone 5 to ios 9.1 and it does suddenly turns off by itself while the battery is below 10% , i've restored it i've dropped its battery to 0% and recharged it to 100% but it doesn't work , anyone facing the same problem ? kindly tell me a solution.

I must say though, that I prefer the look of iOS 6 - but I mainly use apps like Facebook, Whatsapp, BBC News, Truecaller, and YouVersion, and I think all those apps require a newer version of iOS.
I like the iPhone 5. Coming from a Nokia Lumia 900 (my first touchscreen), to a Sony Xperia E1, to a ZTE Blade G Lux, I would like to try an Apple phone. Just waiting to see if my niece will be willing to let go of her iPhone 5s when she upgrades over the weekend, otherwise I might see how this iPhone 5 is after updating the OS to 8.4.1 (I see in the Software Update section, it shows that iOS 8.4.1 is available).

My niece has an iPhone 5s, and she'll be upgrading to a newer phone over the weekend, and if it's okay with her, then I'll take her 5s off her hands.

iPhone 5, iOS9.1, 32GB w/3.4GB used:
Running well with slight lag switching apps. Getting a full day of use on a single charge. The only reason I may go to 6s + is for Size, Apple Pay and Finger print security.

All you do is do a restore from iTune and you will be good to go. I have iPhone 5 with iOS 9.1 and it works without any problem.

I have the iPhone 5 currently running on iOS 9.1 and all I can say is, it's running well. There may be lags but it's barely unnoticeable. Everything works fine from camera, call quality, graphics, app usage. Battery life may differ from each person depending on phone's usage, the age of the device and apps installed.

I have an iPhone five and made the mistake to upgrade the iOS so now I don't know how downgrade to iOS6. Yes iOS 9 has a lot of features but make the iPhone really slow.😠
