It seems they have been planning on flexible screen for their phone and products.
In the U.S.A they already applied for a patent for those shape of screen design and some posibilities

Samsung is planning on its first flexible screen Galaxy smart phone next year and already made some prototypes(you can find easily on youtube)
In conclusion, Apple has not much idea and technology on the flexible screen and just draws some design ideas for a patent. When Samsung or the other company release smartphone with this screen, Apple may sue them and pretends it was their idea and technology long time ago lol
Seriously, I wanna ask you something...
Do you really think Apple has a lead to "the newest technology"?, if so, based on what?, based on because it is an Apple?..
I am definitely sure that the more you know about technology about smartphone stuffs and eletronics, the less interests in Apple products.
They are only good at Marketing and keeping brainwashing their loyal customers as well as tricky and vicious strategy to sue other companies interrupting the true technology

Could it b tht U r defending apple just so tht once who read ur comments get brain washed a B fooled and go 4 this stone age technology while others do tht u enjoy the full thrill of the latest technology ( 3D , SGS 3 , etc) I think thts the reason ur creating all this arguments but I never lie just 4 my benefits un like some people. I thought about apple the same b4 I got my hands on HTC one X my friend has one of those. All I had was the I pad 3 tht time I tried soo hard to win the comparison we did between these 2 items. He was able to beat me easily. Ohhh believe me apple is a great brand for easy use ( elders and old people) but 4 us ( young generations ) android items are the best.
