That's the weird thing. iPhone users love the size due to one handed operation, I would not buy the iPhone if they made the screen as big as SGS3. They have stretched it, but kept it usable with one hand.
And a stretched iPhone 4S? C'mon. It's now unibody aluminium instead of glass, it is lighter too. This means it's also a lot stronger. Similar? Certainly. But it is also better.

Apple still first company to use A15 in a chip others failed..
With the launch of iPhone 5 Apple has become the first mobile company to launch the ARM’s Cortex A15 CPU into the market. A very skilled person when it comes to semiconductors, Anand lal Shimpi of AnandTech, also gave his comments on the powerful CPU. He said,” Based on the performance gains, Apple’s history of SoC naming and some other stuff we’ve heard recently, it looks like Apple has integrated two ARM Cortex A15 cores on Samsung’s 32nm LP HK+MG process.” He further said that it is a very large jump for Apple while beating Samsung and Texas Instruments (TI) at the same time.
Apart from TI and Samsung, Nvidia and Broadcom was also in league to release A15s but have failed. All the four companies mentioned above had made a statement to release A15s in Exynos 5250 for Samsung, Tegra 4 (code-named Wayne) for Nvidia, a system-on-chip by Broadcom, TI’s OMAP5 application processor but Apple did it first. ARM’s two Cortex-A15 cores along with two mail GPU cores are expected to be present in Samsung’s Exynos 5.

They could have increased the display and got rid of all the wasted space on top and bottom, but they didn't. Also that little dot above the loudspeaker (front camera?)is just a plain eye sore.

This Apple Iphone 5 only has a Dual Core processor. Branding cant live alone in the market if it is not combined with Perfomance and Speed. Apple wake up its possible you will loose the market if you doesnt use the proper technology.

There are actually some incredible facts regarding the iPhone 5 which hasn't sunk in to certain people yet who keep calling it a stretched iPhone 4S.
The phone is made out of metal yet it is lighter than the SGS3.
The phone is actually thinner than the SGS3 (I don't think people realize this yet)
The black version is beautiful with anodized aluminum and darkened side panels. It is actually the matte black phone that I've been wishing for, it just oozes dark knight. Reminds me of another beautiful phone, the black Lumia 800.
There are brilliant phones coming to the market now, but Samsung fans need to understand that the SGS3 is now boring and dinosaur because it is seriously being hammered by Lumia 920 with innovation, and Xperia TX for power, even before going head to head with iPhone 5 lol.

Apple didn't even make a big deal about it but that's some powerful hardware, just that Apple don't care to highlight it as it is secondary to the user experience.

apple have nothing to do new with Iphone any more they try to fool innocent peoples and try to be in the smartphones race but on the other hand Samsung and Motorola are innovative and Motorola is best

well guys honestly i didn't see great changes between iphone 4s and 5. it should be apple iphone 4.0.1s not the iphone 5.just a little it longer screen with same width. or just some miner changes. Glaxy s3 is better than iphone5 except its design. but look oh hoh .iphone 5 has same old design that we are seeing for last 5 year....ppl were much expecting from iphone 5 but disappointed .....

And like it or not Apple deliberately leave out features that could make the phone a lot better at little to no extra cost to them simply because they can't make any continued profit from it.
