Note 3 will have a metal body but it costs much more than 5S.
iPhone 5C's plastic is of much better quality than that of S4, it is a solid device unlike any other plastic body phone.
Accept it buddy 5C is beautiful device and its vibrant color compliments the iOS version it runs.

But the 5C has plastic purely to save money.

Galaxy S4 Note 3 the flagship phones from Samsung costs more and they too have plastic back panels. Choose something like that.
And if your wish to have an aluminum body iPhone then have iPhone 5S, they are still offering one the way you want but that is not at cheaper price, still cheaper than Samsung phones.

AnonD-184086, 12 Sep 2013Sure, they keep selling last year flagship devices at same ... moreThe 5C uses components from last year's model so they are a lot cheaper to produce, The aluminium back on iPhone 5 is a big expense so they remove it because it's cheaper to make even though Apple makes over $300 profit on every iPhone 5 and that includes manufacturing and labour costs, So with cheaper materials they still making about the same profit margin as with iPhone 5 even though it's basically a 12 month old phone.
And unlike EVERY other manufacturer Apple never drops the price of iPhone until after the next model is released while top-end smartphones from other manufacturers drop the price by around 10% every few months to reflect the age of the phone.
So yes Apple really is greedy because instead of keeping the iPhone 5C with aluminum back they'd rather have the 10s of millions of extra profit the make from using plastic even though it seriously damages their image as being a premium brand.

$100 lesser for replacing metal body with polycarbonate case (which doesn't give feel of holding a plastic body phone), and they have improved the front camera, network band support, and battery.
For your more info, Apple refused to increase the price of iPhone here in India regardless of falling value of INR in international market. They are selling it at 14% lesser profit just for you guys.
Is really Apple greedy.

Only the name of this version is iPhone C (C=cheap) but it is not cheap at all.
An unlocked version in US will cost $549 (~35K INR). But it will cost approx 38500 here in India.

It then sells that phone at a subsidized price but recoups the money through the services and data plans that a consumer has to take as part of the two-year contract.

i totally called it,there is no way apple would ever offer any low price phone,or anything in there line up.look at the ipad for instance.way overpriced.

Let me get this straight...Instead of dropping the price of the current iphone as they usually would, Apple are actually downgrading the handset by adding a plastic cover and bezel (that make it look more like a Nokia than an iphone), and they still have the nerve to charge what they normally would have done anyway had they just stuck with the iphone 5?
I've nothing against Apple, or Samsung for that matter, and in my comments I always try to be neutral. The problem is that I can't defend Apple when they are not only removing one of their key selling points ie premium materials and build, but they are frankly having a complete joke with the price as well. I applaud them for at least adding some of the long overdue functionalities to the OS, but to do this to the iphone 5 and charge the [rice they are is laughable. Don't get me wrong, it will probably sell well; but there are a lot of people who would also buy a turd as long as it had Apple/Samsung/HTC/Nokia (delete as appropriate)on it.
