I thought this 5c would be my next phone upgrade because it was supposed to be a cheaper version... well turns out it's not cheap, darn! got to stick with what I have.. 4s

not cheap priced is a joker,
iphone 5C priced tag you can get other branded smartphone quadcore+2GB ram better spec and features than 5C,

dear friends. ZEE NEWS say to iphone 5c price in america 16gb version 99$ americy dollar. mean almost 6400rs indian rupees + shipping charges extra.
32gb or 64 gb price in america 199$ and 299$ americy dollar. thanks

In my humble opinion the "C" doesn't stand for cheap, because it is not even close to cheap on price. I don't care if it is like $99.00 on a 2 year contract, because it is in fact $600 ~ $700 off contract.
What I really think is that the "C" stands for "COLORS". Think with me... iPhone "5 Colors" (White, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink).
I don't like iPhones. The software is too far behind in time. Specs are not really what matters if the phone can handle the OS (See, for instance, the new Moto X).
Compare iPhone 5 to iPhone 5C and see that, let alone the design and gorilla glass, they are the same phone:

Unfortunately, I think it's a little bit too expensive. I was expected at a price around 300-400E. It's a good phone in my opinion, have nice features but the price it's too high. Even with that bad point (price) I still think this will be my future phone.
