AnonD-185100, 11 Sep 2013549$ and Apple said its cheap. WOWAnd Apple is making close to $300 profit on each iPhone 5 when they sell to carriers and over $400 for each that's unlocked, And this being cheaper to make they probably making close to that on the 5C.
But compare to other phones like the S4 they cost more to make but cost less to buy and every few months the price drops until after a year they usually about 40% cheaper while Apple never drops the price until after a year when the next phone comes out.

The price without a contract is 550$. 99$ is for 2 year contract.

16GB unit is 99$ on 2 year contract , off contract 549$ and 32GB unit is 199$ on 2 year contract, 649$ off contract. lmao Apple will never hit the midrange/lowend market.
