My iPhone 5s runs since its release in 2013, has been used for hours everyday (it used to be a buisness iPhone until September 2015), and has iOS 9.3.3 PB 1 als its current OS.
And you feel its age.
It's not that I don't like it or such, I really do, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it and still use it. Actually I am writting this with it right now.
It's just that it is not "more powerful than I think" (little reference to its slogen in 2014). And I see how it struggles after all these hours and with its current OS, iOS 9.3.3 PB 1(yes, I am aware that 3.3 slows it down as long as it is in beta process). And everyone saying "There is no lag on my 5s" is actually wrong, you're just not noticing it, what actually is a good thing.
But never than less, yesterday I stand in the nearest "electronic supply shop" with a lot of money and asking myself "Why not buy a new 5s? It runs better and it's awesomely cheap, for an 64-bit iPhone at least." And I was just about to buy one if I wouldn't get my 6s in 1,3 years ( -_- ).
As it's still a really strong phone that handles new software after all those years like no Androit or W10M phone would ever do I would recommend it to anyone searching for something "cheap" and realiable (and plus to this a supported member within the iDevice family).
Even if it's old, it's made for the future (or present), at least in my opinion.
