really good as backup phone, use whatsapp, signal, after change the battery can work as normal

This is still perfectly usable in 2023. Just replace the battery with a quality one like from iFixit, and it's so easy to do it.

Just use webpage shortcuts for every app like Fb, YouTube, eBay don’t download any apps. And this was is very fluid.
Turn off background processing.
No Siri
Occasionally delete app data from Safari.
