AnonD-8044, 12 Feb 2014Nexus 5 was a good effort but screen,can,speaker bit poor,,... morethe screen was a bit washed out but the real point of Nexus devices is software experience and considering that especially nexus 4,5 and 7 are flagships on budget that is to be expected but i really love Google products the way the are currently especially with this new approach in lighter RAM usage on KitKat. They have matured really well. Are they on Apple class performance? Not really but they are getting close and for more flexibility you could sacrifice that.If Google decides to make a flagship Nexus 5 they should go with HTC like they did with the first one but i don't see Google making a premium Nexus soon. I hope the rumors on a premium Nexus 8 by HTC are true.

If Apple built a Nexus it would cost the earth.

Neutral User, 12 Feb 2014Hi. I am not a fan of smartphones' brands. I am interested ... moreeven on Nexus-es there is lag but very minor. But Android has matured pretty well and it has come to the point where that minor occasional lag does not matter. Google has done a great job with Android but it needs flagship Nexuses which have all around great hardware no compromises in build,performance,camera,battery etc. I would buy one if they made a flagship premium Nexus.

Hi. I am not a fan of smartphones' brands. I am interested in the operating systems they use. I use both famous operating systems namely the Android and the iOS. Do you notice that I didn't typed out the brands or the smartphones' companies' names ? It is because most of us too excited in the battle of the specifications rather than battle of the operating systems that run the smartphones. First of all, iOS is developed by the Apple's engineers while the Android is developed by Google's engineers. Personally, I like the functionality-cum-aesthetic value over specifications value. Why do you think that Android becomes lagging when you use it on Samsung but it is not when you are using it on Nexus? Take the same specs and compare them. You will know why. How about the iOS? Have you ever seen this operating system in smartphones that are not Apple's? These questions will make you think why people choose Android over iOS and why people choose iOS over Android. I acknowledge that Android is very flexible in terms of appearance, layouts and stuff. However, it is vulnerable to threats such as the viruses and malware. In contrariwise, the iOS is highly secured and chances to get infected is very low (it depends on the users. If they jailbreak the iOS, it will heightened the risk of being infected by both viruses and malware). Both operating systems are great but you have to find the device to match it. Since the Android is developed by Google, why don't you consider buying Google's smartphones? The software and hardware are combined together under the same company just like the iOS and Apple. The basic thing is, you have to consider the operating systems that run them smartphones and the build of the smartphones; not the specifications which sometimes are overwhelming (my personal view). I am trying to be as neutral as possible. Any incorrect opinion I stated in here, I apologise for the mistake made. Kindly share your opinion with mine or exchange it with all of us here. Sorry for the long post :P

That is why its popular its simple to use... moreDefinitely agree with you. My Mum has an iPhone 5S, and it suits her perfectly. Easy enough to call, text, use social networking and browse the internet, pretty much all she needs!
It's strange though, I found the 5S very boring indeed, but can't get enough of the iPad Air at the minute! Got a Sony Xperia Z tab and hardly touched it since I got the Air, fabulous piece of kit.
