Caveats on TouchID hack from iDownloadblog

    http://www.idownloadblog.com/2013/09/23/hacker-group-touch-id-photo/

The group says the hack reaffirms the notion that biometric security isn’t foolproof, claiming it can be performed with “household materials.” However, it’s not likely that the average person has any of this equipment.

It’ll be interesting to see where this goes from here, but as of now, there’s no cause for concern. The method is just far too complex, with too many caveats, for there to be any real threat to the average iPhone 5s user.

I much prefer the design of the 5S handsets; I don't think I'd ever get my hands on a 5C through choice, personally.

My main issue with this is that we'll now most likely be waiting months for the iPhone 6 - although I am curious to see what model number they stop at.

While the phones look sleek, my only reasoning for getting my hands on the 5S will be purely because I'm currently on the iPhone 4 and need to upgrade, anyway. But aside from different colour schemes and fingerprint technology, I'm not seeing much reason to show interest in this update.

Even now in the TouchID articles there are lots of comments pointing out that while it is possible to hack the fingerprint sensor (No security is 100%), it takes a super high resolution camera, a wax mold, and a process which takes hours. Lol

If you were designing a phone fingerprint sensor, this would fall under a very unlikely event, especially since wouldn't it be easier to just force you to use your finger? Hahaha haters don't think, they just swallow the hype.

iPhone 5s launch performance compared to other iPhone models and Samsung launch

          http://www.cultofmac.com/246842/iphone-5s-launch-performance-compared-to-other-iphones-and-samsung-chart/

Interesting to note that Samsung's BEST launch couldn't even compare to iPhone 3G launch. My feeling is SGS4 was Samsung's best launch, at the height of Samsung fever, which unfortunately has now died after Android users have discovered better build quality in rivals like HTC and Sony. SGS5 will probably sell less.

Love how with all the leaks, Apple haters were still STUNNED by the A7 64 bit revelation, FASTER than even the Octacore chips.

Simply incredible. Totally enjoyed the scrambled response from Android side.

AnonD-252, 24 Sep 2013You can verify buying apps and games using that fingerprint... moreHere's what Graham, who ORGANIZED the contest had to say about TouchID

"He added that just because the sensor can be hacked doesn't mean that you shouldn't use it. Touch ID is not "completely useless," he said.

"Half the population doesn't lock their phone at all because it's too much trouble entering a four-digit PIN every time they want to use it," Graham said. Using Touch ID instead of using your phone without any protection is "A WIN FOR SECURITY" he said.

You can verify buying apps and games using that fingerprintsensor, so it is also supposed to protect the users real money!

"Logging in with a finger touch is essentially just as fast as unlocking the phone without a passcode set"

This why this is going to be very popular because people doesnt lock their phones because it takes too much effort to open it tens of times a day.

Still restricted to its dungeon iTunes.
                        Restricted to its internal memory.
Restricted to the same design over and over.

So this fingerprint is lot better than nothing because its super fast so people would use it instead not using passlocks at all. So mission accomplished.

Pls I use an iPhone 5 and recently upgraded to iOS 7 , I notice that every time I charge my phone I no longer know when it's fully charged as the symbol of a plug no more appears indicating a full charge. I just simply disconnect the phone from the charger once it read 100%. Pls who has an answer to this. Thank you.
