To the first yes i am an apple fan boy ,i had all types of iphone (2g,3g ,3gs,4,4s) ,now i am on five.Meanwhile i had several other android phone's (s1,s2,s3,desire hd,xperia s etc.)and i liked the screen (big) but i feel is not in the hand.Between all android device the most liked from my side was samsung s2 and the most repulsive(laggy phone) was the s3.From my experience iphone (all models on stabil ios ex. 3g on ios 3) are not laggy ,no problems on install some software ,no screen to show me the app is not responding etc.So for that i am an apple fan boy not for dual, triple hexa, octa core.I respect the tehnology and i know that all flagship from today are good on hardware but the tehnology means software to ,and here apple wins.

xyz, 14 Sep 2013hahahahahaha................... In competion quad core and ... moreLike number of CPU cores matters. Last time their 2 core scored same as Galaxy S3's Quad, so no need for megapixel race.

Dual core A serie is more faster than quad or octa core, especially it's 64 bit CPU, Apple A7.

i would say that dual core is so 2 years ago but take a look to ios, its not a cpu-hungry os. for example take iphone 3gs, it has a 600 mhz cpu, but runs smoothly with ios 6, despite that it doesnt have all the capabilities as iphone 4,4s or 5 and etc.

yes but iPhone with dual core cpu is superior on others quad core & octo core smatphones. The iOs platform is the best deal for the dual core cpu. When iPhone put inside an quad core procesor, all others octocore smarphones is history...nothing else. Dual core on iOS is good for the battery, is very fast than all otehrs quad core smarphones with android platform

For all those who say that Apple has just dual core, apple creates it's own os and it can optimise it for faster speed... The iPhone 5 is at par with S4

xyz, 14 Sep 2013hahahahahaha................... In competion quad core and ... moreTo be honest, the OS doesn't need more than 2 cores to run efficiently. It's a genius piece of engineering that you get so much power out of those specs, yet the tiny screen fitted with a completely locked system makes it boring and inconvenient. iTunes is also one of the most horrible pieces of software I've seen, that really brings it from almost good to disappointing

Still unimpressed. My iPhone 5 is the best 'out there' even when compared to my second line which is the Galaxy S4 which I use my Samsung ATIV tablet.

Unfortuntely, it's the 'best' out there does not make it 'THE BEST'. I consider my Galaxy S4 a very very close second if not tied for the 1st.

If there was a phone which would 'completely sync' with Outlook via USB and I didn't have to rely on iTunes (or some proprietary software or Cloud) to add/remove image/video, it WOULD be the BEST.

Samsung on the other size is releasing quad-core, octa-core cpu where as Apple are still using dual core. It doesn't make much of a difference because at the end of the day people just use the phones to make calls, use the Internet, play games. They do not use phones for graphic extensive applications, web designing.
Apple's iPhone with dual-core chip, 64bit is suffice along with Samsung's quad-code cpu. Both have pros and cons.

In competion quad core and ... moreYeah because android phones are laggy on dual cores. They need even higher than 4 cores to achieve smooth transition on application. Unlike iPhone it is smooth even on single core.
