If this doesn't work, I think the best thing would be to reset it, this usually fixes many problems. My iPhone 5 also was not very usable since I had the same backup from beginning (iOS 6) to late iOS 8 days. Then I made a reset and since that day it works smooth

front is not that good, still ok
lag is almost not present
If you want an iPhone with a good front camera, you need iPhone 6s (Plus) or 7 (Plus), not SE because it has the same front camera as 5s because it uses the same front part. You could also buy a selfie centered phone like Xperia C series. Or just turn the phone around and use the rear camera, then you can use the volume buttons as shutter release.

ios is superb..... if u use this then cant go to android... n if talk abt 5s then it is stand from 2013 to till nowww.. so choose acc to ur usage...
