So they keep repeating that same nonsense year over year and cant understand why people buy smaller number iPhones because their android devices are laggy and they think iPhones are even more laggier and slower because the numbers are lot smaller on paper.
This is easy to spot, just open some new high graphics iPhone/iPad game video from youtube and read the comments where android people are crying why iPhone runs this and this game so well even when its numbers are lot smaller on paper than their laggy android devices.

Why is every time when I read comment in here , I always see android user or Apple haters posting things like ~ iPhone 6 plus only got 1 GB ram , it used dual core rather then quad core or octa core , it hasn't got QHD display , you can't pit SD card in it ! OMG it's amazing just to hear these sort of comments ! I recently got rid of my note 4 it's got 3 GB RAM and it's still lagg , sometimes takes 2-3 second to even load the camera ! That goes the same to lagg in gaming too ! well it really make a difference with all those cores of processing power ?? The answer is no !!!! QHD DISPLAY whatever I can't really tell the difference when I look at both display , besides Samsungs looks more vivid ! But does that mean iPhone display is bad ? NO! It's a phone not a TV man , on 5.5-5.7 inch display what sort of difference can you get ! Seriously !!!ever since I use the 6 plus I'm glad I got rid of my note 4 ! The build quality , gaming capability , camera performance , responsivness , liability , AppStore ! Has totally killed android phones !!! Sorry that's a fact !! Use it and enjoy it ~

Android copied this success and make cheaper alternatives for lower income people.
To completely base your judgement on SD slots/ cards / stylist or even paper specs to grade something as "old" or 2011-2012 ish is completely wrong.
What is important is people are willing to pay the price of iPhone, because its an enjoyment to use, and they have outgrown old tech like bt transfer / drag and drop and otg usb, and replace them with Airplay / Continuity / Airdrop / iCloud / backup / iTunes match / Apple pay etc etc.
If you are stuck to XP PC at home and living in 1999 era.. of course you feel iPhone is useless.. but if you are willing to change and embrace Apple's idea, you feel iPhone is beyond its time.

i have both the iphone 4s, 6pluss and nexus 7.
an app like ingress runs better in any way, iphone GPS is less laggy and app runs without lag, as for nexus 7, i have striped if from all of the extra apps and still nothing, ingress is really laggy really slow and the gps is allmoast never where is should be.
But that is just for that app.

Samsung Galaxy s5 and Apple iPhone 6/6+ has the same feature all throughout . But the Galaxy s5 has an IP67 that Apple iPhones lack ! Prefer to buy Galaxy s5 or Note 4 .

Regarding CPU performance, 1.4 GHz is the "long-run" performance (you can use it at least 20 minutes). Furthermore, if you other phone with CPU over 2.0 GHz, you can forget it, since it is the peak (very short performance) of the chip...after paek has been reached, you can use ca. 1.3 GHz.
So, iPhone 6's 1.4 GHz is not so bad, but it could have Quad-Core and much more RAM (especially, since it has 64-bit architecture). Battery could be also better.
