CorrectingDaFools, 12 Sep 2015It's up to the manufacturers to decide how long to continue... moreOEMs and Google both decide on how long they want to push updates for a device. And even if I agree to your point that Google isn't involved, then your OEM is the culprit here. They want to force you to move to a new device every two years. Admitted, most people do that; but still eligible hardware should qualify for updates. As per Google, Android Lollipop can work on devices with 512MB RAM; the galaxy Note 2 with 2GB RAM and quad-core processor doesn't get the update? So it works out to be like your new OS can work only with 3/4 GB RAM?
That's why like most iOS users, when I say that Apple charges you a bomb, but they charge you for a package, we aren't too wrong. My iPad 2 from 2011 will get iOS 9.1 soon; performance issue is a different topic altogether; but it's just that Apple designs its hardware with minimum bells and whistles (as per all Fandroids), but still majority of iDevices get to run the latest version of the operating system whenever it launches.
Also, let's not go into Android's policy of rolling out updates phase wise. All eligible S6 and Note 4 dnt get Android 5.1.1 update at the same time; it takes months. All qualifying iDevices get the update globally at the same time and same time.

The iphone is a fine Chinese made phone. I don't get why so many people bashing on the iphone 6s. The "s" models are the ones to get (they work out the kinks in the previous model which has the big changes). The only knock I have against the iphone is the features you get doesn't justify the money you pay. Better value can be found with other phones.

Credit card installment payment may work for that but its still is not cheap also considering you need to have a stable job to even get a card. You shouldn't just assume everyone who buy iphone could buy 4k tv. That is very childish thinking. Go study in your classroom and switch off your phone kid.

People who live in the era of desktop OS, and are familiar with the file centric way of using computer will find it limiting.. Because they are used to think in this way: "i need to open a file... Right click, ohh yes notepad can do it!" So they are overly concern on moving those data around in any means possible.

While in a iOS environment, or app centric way: "i want to listen to music, ok i go iTunes," so people here are more concern about the quality of the app, able to function as its intended.

Android in the other way, is trying to fill both voids, file centric n app centric, which result in not able to do both optimally, but they help those stuck in PC era change slowly. But you can see slowly but surely everyone will follow the iOS way.

While android is still trying hard to improve the mobile phone segment, Apple is moving to TV. I know you will say there are tons of android TV around, with google play store, so what is Apple TV? Well, Apple TV is the first correct step into the TV industry, an OS and UI control optimized for your TV.

It's 2015 and people are still complaining about the inovations on the iPhones, i don't know what the Android fans are thinking... Look back when the iPhone 4S got released, on its exterior we couldn't see any difference but the antenna and, the best thing was inside of it. And then the 5S got released, performance update, improved camera, touch id, and a new color. And now the 6S, performance update, improved camera (mega pixels does not mean that the camera is good or not) the 3D touch (force touch) and a new color. With the iPhone 7 and 7S the same effin thing is gonna happen and it still will sell better than any Android device because it's worthy. I'm an iPhone user and i respect that you guys think that the iPhone has specs from a mobile from 2013 but you guys have to understand that it's hardware were made to fits perfectly with the software and that's why for now the 12mp camera is more than enough to put it in an iPhone, the 2gb RAM are enough too, just the batery that needs to be bigger or better but yea, it's a great iPhone for sure. Anyway peace!

AnonD-439468, 11 Sep 2015Actually S6 uses series 7000 aluminium, and you don't know ... moreYes it said that have small battery around 1715 mAh, but surely performs better than previous model because of very efficient chip and it haven't increase as much, only 95 mAh.
With ios 9.0 and proximity sensor it will save more energy. And plus ios 9.0 its just 1.3 gb. Btw the battery of s6 is bigger than iphones but performs very poor because of high pixel density. With light to moderate usage u can go to bed with just 20 left on iphone but in s6 u need to charge 2 or 3 times a day. The galaxy s6 is made from 6013 Alcoa Power Plate not 7000 aluminium series.

Anonymous, 11 Sep 2015You know the problem with rolling out 9.1 to the 4S?, most ... moreIs that really so? Then please tell me why Google doesn't update S3 and the Note 2 to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop? Wasn't Android Lollipop designed to work on phones with as low as 512MB RAM? Both these devices have much more than that and have quad-core CPUs, much higher cores than the poor iPhones which still have dual core architecture. Your comment defies your own logic.
Your OS is full of loopholes and flaws (iOS is not flawless either), but to cover up for the shortcomings of the OS, you guys keep on bragging about number of cores and increasing RAM sizes. And just to point out the truth about your 3GB RAM on the S6, 1.9 GB of it is taken up by system files and can never be freed? So you are left with a little over 1GB RAM only. Now tell me how is your blazing fast and most advanced S6 any different from iPhone 5s which was released in 2013 and have only I gig of RAM.
And as someone else replied on your post, following the sluggish performance of iOS 8.1 on the ageing 4S, Apple released a special build of iOS 8.1 only to make the phone much faster. Apple has promised a special build of iOS 9.1 for 4S and the iPad 2 this year as well. Now comment on this.

Anonymous, 11 Sep 2015Yup. Not only that, even if the phone updates to the newes... moreI second you. Following every new iOS update, almost 75-80% users are on page, meaning they run the same version of iOS. What's even better is that only one version of iOS is optimised for 3.5" iPhone 4S, 4" 5s and now the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhones plus the iPads (mini and 9.7" alike) and iPods, Apple doesn't need to push different firmware versions for different hardware unlike most Android OEMs do to address bug fixes following software updates. This just shows how much Apple is committed to providing an exceptional user experience across its entire range. And yes, I read someone comment on this as well; last year Apple did release a special firmware update just for the 4s following the infamous update of the same to iOS 8.1. This year as well, Apple has promised a special build of iOS 9 for the ageing 4S and iPad 2 and original iPad mini.
