Hello friends,
I am using Nokia N8 for the last 8 years or so, it NEVER gave me any trouble at all.
Going by the reviews I dropped my idea of buying any android phone and made up my mind to buy iPhone 7. I hope it is the one that can give as reliable service as my old Nokia N8.
I use my phone sparingly only for calls & SMSs and occasionally listening to music. I don't play games or watch videos.

However, I have a few doubts, which anyone clear before I go ahead and buy -
1. I am concerned about the battery life of iPhone7. What is the standby drain (i.e. overnight)?
2. Is it true, iPhone batteries lose quality (and drain faster) after 1 yr?
3. Is the screen of iPhone 7 scratch resistant? That is, keys or coins scratch the screen? (I am not worried about scratches on the back). I don't like using a protective skin/case.
4. Can iPhone 7 survive minor falls? Or it is as fragile as Samsung glass phones?
5. Which color is smudge resistant?
Thanks in advance

Recently i bought s6 edge.I was going to buy Iphone 6 but many of my friends said that you should buy s6 edge because on andriod we can do what we want while on iphone we have to buy movies, apps ,etc. As my friends gave me their opinions. I went and bought s6 edge. And now i am feeling so sad that what i have done. Android is rubbish.Sometime hangs, sometime camera does not open, sometime switches off by its own,ads on the display, heat up,automatically ram usage get around 92% while i have only installed some basic apps.I always have to clear ram clear ram,no smoothness. While on iphone no ram issues because hardware is optimized, smoothness etc.I dont want you guys to waste your money go for iphone.

i had been using android for years and just before a month i started using iphone 7. u can really feel the difference. the smoothness of this device just mindblowing. i as using htc m8 previosly and i was just i love with that phone. but iphone is too good. the only problem i felt is battery life. apple needs to improve in this part. in all other cases i am more than satisfied.

PrettyLittleLiarMalu, 30 Dec 2016Is the iphone camera the same as the one of SonyThe camera sensor of iPhones and most other smartphones are sony sensors, but the software optimization and graphics processing are made by Apple (the iphones) , iphones takes pictures with the best details than any other smartphones even sony itself because of their excellent chipset's, but they struggle a lot to give accurate and natural colors, image stabilization is not excellent like in the Xperia smartphones but it is great, dynamic range is just good.

Here's the explanation of processors I posted on an other page

The most important thing for a processor is the architecture. The more powerful the architecture is, the more performance you'll get per second.
The efficiency of a processor is also very important. It depends on the architecture. The more efficient the processor is, the less power you need per clock. That means you can also overclock your processor further without suffering from heating issues.
If those two are good, then you can scale the performance with the clock speed (those mysterious GHz-numbers, you know). As mentioned above, you can upscale this number as long as you don't have heating issues, but of course this also means it needs more power. So you have to decide between power-usage and performance.
The cores are just for making multiple tasks at once. For example, if a program is made for multi-core, it gives 50% of the work to one and 50% of the work to the other core, if we talk about dual core. But many programs don't have this support and also many don't need it. For example, you don't need that multi core performance for WhatsApp. The most prominent example for multi core use is video-rendering. But there really aren't many programs which need or support multi core on smartphones.
Also, those cores are divided in clusters. In the SD 821, you have 2 high performance cores and two low performance cores which work simultaneously. There are also SoCs like Apples A10 Fusion, where only 1 cluster works at once and the system switches between the high performance cluster and the low performance cluster.

Now to your wrong-interpretation of cores as being the most important thing. These phones you mean are often lower end phones, which have 8 of those low performance cores also used in flagships. But they can't deliver much performance because they are just made for light usage and low power usage. That's why an iPhone 5s performs in some tasks still better than a new low end octa-core device with 8 low performance cores. This "octa-core" is often just there for bragging with numbers and make people think they made a good buy. So you have to see everything from a processor, not just one number.

Also, these low performance cores are much smaller than high performance cores. iPhones perform best because they have less and bigger performance cores. Many other things are also important for performance, like storage speed (where Apple also is the leader with newest NVMe storage) and gaming performance depends on graphics card and resolution (the lower the resolution and the more powerful the graphics card, the better you can play a game. Another example where iPhones are also leading. They have best gaming experience because they have on par graphics cards with competition but lower resolution screen)
