marge, 28 May 2021Not nonsense.
OnePlus X has 3GB of RAM.
iPhone 7 has 2GB ... moreWhen were your alternatives stopped being supported, was it 2018 or 2019?
And more RAM doesn’t make a phone better. Xperia M4 had 2 GB of ram and it was a piece of crap that could not even keep up to the iPhone 5

Anonymous, 10 Jun 2021Yeah, surprisingly. I've heard great things about 5 on... moreI understand where you are coming from, but I would not worry as much as you do because
1. do a Backup on your Computer if possible and
2. if it really breaks, buy an iPhone 6s used for like 50€, it’s very similar to the 7 just without the issue. For the record, my 7 does not have issues after 4 1/2 years of usage.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2021iPhone 5 And 5s and 6 are quite fast on their last respect... moreYeah, surprisingly. I've heard great things about 5 on its final update, 6 is a bit laggy but still great. Funny how such old devices are still perfectly useable for everyday use while the dreaded boot loop issue in 7 keeps me awake at night, I don't want to wake up to a broken phone because Apple couldn't be bothered to solder their chips a bit better.

I tried playing that game in ultra settings, and the battery only lasted just over an hour (going from 100% to 0%).

marge, 01 Jun 2021Oh whoops, sorry I forgot to mention something. iPhone 7 ha... moreSounds like you got a bad apple, many people loved this phone but unfortunately you had a bad experience with it. Iphone never had a great battery life, especially if you fill it up with messaging apps that require constant connection and all that stuff and final iOS updates usually will always slow it down (planned obsolecence) but in those 5 years of regular updates it's the most optimized cell phone.

Anonymous, 31 May 2021If you knew anything about phones, Androids have always bee... moreOh whoops, sorry I forgot to mention something. iPhone 7 had issues with loop disease, something which plagued this phone and made it undesirable for many of its users. This isn't just a one-off issue, it's something which was widespread and it's what makes this phone so terrible.
Of course, loop disease isn't an issue you'd expect to see from Android phones (and certainly not the ones that were competing with this phone back in the day), but due to Apple's very poor, abysmal and appalling engineering, it's become so bad.
Also, quit talking nonsense about this phone being optimized. The battery life of this phone is shockingly bad and will last less than 2 hours when playing games on it and such.

JohnNy L, 08 May 2021Iphone has become too laggy after the update. Dont know ... moreYes I experienced before…. Every update either slow phone or battery drain more. If I ever buy new iPhone again I will only update 1st year only. Don’t fall to many years of update

marge, 28 May 2021Not nonsense. OnePlus X has 3GB of RAM. iPhone 7 has 2GB ... moreIf you knew anything about phones, Androids have always been "more numbers=better performance" while iOS works perfectly with iPhones because hardware and software were designed together, which is not the case with Androids. In games, more RAM would matter but in everyday tasks, iPhones are much more optimized.

anonymous, 27 May 2021Talk nonsenseNot nonsense.
OnePlus X has 3GB of RAM.
iPhone 7 has 2GB of RAM.
OnePlus X was obviously a way cheaper phone that was released a year earlier.
There are also many other phones from when the iPhone 7 was released that are much, much better, including the Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy S7, LG V20, OnePlus 3T, etc.
I, to this day, still consider the iPhone 7 to be one of (if not) the worst phone of 2016. Apple was so far behind the competition at the time. It was inherently overpriced for what it was.
Apple would have been struggling in the smartphone market in 2016 had the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 not had any issues with the battery exploding.

Whereabouts do you live? If in the UK, you can get an enhanced replacement battery for around 18 incl del from Replacebase, & most local phone shops around 20-25 to fit it. Just make sure they do it in front of you though, as you'll want to make sure it's the same battery you bought!
