My iPhone 7 screen keeps going black but i can hear the lock sounds, calls and alarms. Happens as many as five times a day. I've been hard-resetting by pressing the sleep/wake and volume down keys at the same time. Anybody with a similar problem? what is the permanent solution?

Hey , I am using iphone 7 (Jet Black) and it is a treat. It has the best designed so far in iphone model. Yes, Jet Black is not scratch resistance but i have put a scratch guard on the backside of my phone which protects it from scratch. For Battery drain issue you need to disable auto refresh for all app. Just enable the app you use it most of the time for eg. Whatsapp, Messages ,Email etc are primarily important. Turn off the location when not required as it drains the battery in quick time. Disable the auto updates for apps. Use low light after sunset. With all this you can use your phone for 1 & half day with youtube, google surfing ,facebook etc.

Since I have updated to ios 11.0.3 on my iPhone 7 it has these three problems
1 Battery problem draining fast
2 Slow little lazy than before ios 11.0.2
3 Heating up over 3G use.
I have no idea apple solve our problem or they creating problems..

Today not been using it much but it is now at 70% after 5hrs use which is weird, just checked some emails, 30 mins twitter, 10 mins watching bbc news over 3g. Seems to be worse battery today? will keep an eye on it.
Anyone got the jet black version i like it but it is real scratch magnet according to reviews.

Guys I'm getting new Smartphone,But I cant make any decision between Iphone 7 Iphone 8 Iphone X or Samsung Galaxy S8.I know Iphone 8 is better than Iphone 7,and Iphone X is better than these both :-),But My problem is that I cant make any decision,I plan to buy S8,Then I think Iphones are better,When I plan to buy any Iphone i cant make any decision which to buy.I like Iphone 7 more then Iphone 8,But the problem is that I'm getting myself after 8 months,So guys need help :-).Btw I have no problem if the smartphone is expensive,Specs,Design,and Last long matters.

My iPhone 7 seems fine on battery watched 4 hrs tv over wifi 60% brightness, 1 hr twitter some emails and had 24 % left.

If after that, the battery still does drain too fast, it's because iOS 11 at the moment has some battery related bugs which will be fixed with future update so keep patience

Ios 11.03 battery is stable than iOS 11.02 and 11.01. But iOS 10 is better. The advantage of iOS 11.03 are touch screen more responsive and scrolling. And maybe more features.

Ken, 12 Oct 2017I like the latest iOS update 11.03. So far so good. Thanks Can agree. Finally upgraded from 10.3.3. It is a little bit worse, but honestly, for all the new features and prettier design and animations, I don't think it's a bad tradeoff. And I'm sure it will get better when iOS 11 matures, I mean it's only been 3 weeks since its release, iOS 10 is older than a year.
