Like my Xperia Z2 already 3 years usage and don't have Qnovo but not need go for service or even replace the battery while iPhone likely to force user to replace a new battery to avoid any performance slowdown. I really don't know the service center and really no need to find one from my city, it is a pathetic for my phone or it is a really pathetic situation for a 2 years iPhone?!

Did they offer a battery replacement? NO! After a 5 year period were all 5 year old phones need battery replacement. Does your phone have still a battery replacement component available at a nearby sony shop? NO! Basis? I have a Xperia ZL that needs a battery replacement. And Since it's a 2,300mah battery. There are NO available components nor battery replacement for the unit. Meanwhile, an iphone 5S that's 5 years old still has battery replacements! How's that for a good customer support from apple?

Battery replacement here in my country only cost $18! And if you are a smartphone technician. You would only buy the battery which cost $15.

Sparing that much space in the iPhone enclosure is a total waste. Because that's a single purpose big connector. Not to mention the iPhone 7 and onwards are water resistant. I love that they are now using a single multi purpose Lightning connector. Good job Apple, keep it up!

I got my iPhone with iOS 10.2.1 which is flawless and superb battery backup. Later updating to iOS 11 led to many issues like low battery all the time, lag in performance, taking 4hrs to full charge etc etc
As the phone is brand new and which is in warranty, I took the mobile to apple care, which they also regret updating the device to the latest iOS. They were helpless in this matter and not possible to downgrade the iOS version.

Not only 7 series ,,, even the brand new iPhone 6s and 6s plus are facing issues after updating to iOS 11. Nothing to blame with the batteries..
Apple came up with a sweet excuse to escape themselves and fooling around everyone. That's the reason apple took a lot of time to reveal this news and simply blaming batteries now. Battery replacement with huge discount also generates great revenue for apple and a small hope for customers for their small satisfaction.

What do you say about new iPhone 7 and 7 plus hardly used for months (3,4 months) with iOS 10.3.3 with superb performance and beast kind of battery back up and all of them gone with a single update i.e iOS 11 and still becoming worse till date with iOS 11.2.2.
Is the problem with the new phone ?? Nor the sluggish update ?? Nor what ??
Have you ever notice apple releasing these many updates after a major release (like iOS 11). Updates like iOS 11, 11.0.1, 11.0.2, 11.1, 11.1.1, 11.1.2, 11.2, 11.2.1, 11.2.2 all shit for older models.

They are slowing down older iPhones WITH chemically aged/outdated batteries to PREVENT it from unexpectedly shutting down, BECAUSE of low voltages and capacities an old battery can hold. It is NOT something they can PREVENT from happening. That's the way of Lithium-ion batteries. They CANNOT magically change/replace a user's battery OVER-THE-AIR, you know? That's EXACTLY WHY they have cut off $50 from battery replacement making it just $29, because of stupid people's inability to understand a nature of a chemically aging component. Not to mention, that they also stated in their announcement that, as soon as you've replaced your battery to a brand new one, the slow downs will be disabled and your iPhone will be same as you got it from the store.
Think of that this way:
You're also a chemically aging organism, in a way. You're going to die someday, that's inevitable. God cannot magically extend your life or replace your brain, heart or any other organ "OVER-THE-AIR". Getting a surgical operation done IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If you do, you may live a little longer. If you don't you will die. But if you were made to do things slower, be careful, stay in bed, use a wheelchair, then you may still prolong your life, which are things we do to prevent from dying unexpectedly. In case if you don't have enough money to do an operation, you would be more likely to do it if it was discounted like 50% off.
Hope your brain could cope how the world, and how Apple works through my explanation. Next time you're going to make a stupid comment on internet, please be solid to your facts.
