To date very reliable, still get latest updates, good battery life, good display, still fast and fluid most of all good handy size and still looks great. I just feel the newest iphone SE20202 is very much similar to this so I don't see a need for me to change. N the iphone 12 mini? Nah looks weird and thick

I would kind of recommend the 7 better because of the following reasons.
1. Glass changed tidiness and feel
(It looks kind of dirty after holding it so much compared to Aluminum backs like 7)
2. A battery that is not that better than the 7
The battery m/Ah on the 7 is higher than the battery m/Ah on the 8

I'm facing severe battery drain after updating to iOS 14, my battery health is at 82%. I have reset my mobile as suggested in the discussion forums but the issue persists. Any suggestions on what can be done?

Good size, no lagging, fast, good battery easily last one day with heavy use, and most of all it is still comparable to newer models as it's lovely to hold and look at. Good design and overall trustworthy and reliable phone.

This was my last Apple phone before I downgraded back to the iPhone 5s. This was my baby right here! It was butter smooth. Gaming was awesome! No lags. (I usually prefer FPS over graphics). PUBG was butter smooth on this. (Low graphics set and maxed out the FPS). I loved the phone to death. Then something happened to it. Which I regret. The one I had was Space-gray (Black is how I saw it) and 256GB of memory! I didn't care how many photos I had in my phone coz' with a storage that huge, I didn't care.

That why its a big different between android n ios..better iphone 8 smooth n no lagging at all while u playing gaming or when u opening gaming /apps or using for long hour time its very smooth.. its a big different.. even its 3 years old phone but the power very good till now n no lagging at all time.. android u can using but not for a long time laa.. even iphone ages 5 years or 6 years like iphone 4. Iphone 5 but still can manage app very smooth n gaming okay.. only ram small like 2gb 3gb ram for iphone but very different la. That y iphone software android cannot beatt

Sadly, is not the fault of companies, is the Android fault. That is why Android phones come out with more and more ram each year (to compensate for this), while a 3 years old iphone with 2GB ram works flawlessly in 2020.
I do not even want to talk about entry level models of Android. Those are bye bye after 1 year. The good part is that they are cheap and you can easily change them yearly.
