When this phone is only barely more expensive, it's a great deal. But that will be in the future.

Visalbot, 13 Sep 2017Nothing changed, it still looks like iPhone 7. I don't want... moreI use a S7, my wife an IPhone 7. We have owned before several Samsungs and Iphones. All of them have served their purpose. The difference is the durability of the Iphones and the consistency of the software I still have as backup Iphones 5 and 5s. My S5 does not work anymore.

Another iPhone that has a faster SoC so you can open Instagram and Facebook 0.02 seconds faster, all the while having mediocre battery life when used.

Iphone always with the same design? my opinion Iphone sucks, others have better design and better price, what is the difference between Iphone 6 or 8? the same display IPS lcd, the same design? there are better options in the market, I'd never spend my money in that device,
I was wondering whats the new and why the people was waiting for a long time the famous Iphone only to receive the same product, whit some new features that no make sense, and I repeat it, Iphone sucks!!!

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2017more ram also means more processing power, which means phon... moreThe iPhone X did another quick run of Geekbench to solidify itself as the fastest smartphone around.
Apple's upcoming flagship scored even more than it did last time and trounces all the top smartphones around. Granted benchmarks aren't great at making cross-platform comparisons, but the difference is still impressive.
The A11 Bionic chipset has nearly doubled the single-core score of the A10 Fusion, which was already ahead of the Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 Octa. Interestingly the A11 Bionic has the highest multi-core score, a first for an Apple chip.

Apple's A11 Bionic has a six-core processor with two high-powered cores and four power-efficient ones. But where it differs the most from its A10 Fusion predecessor is in its ability to run all six cores simultaneously - the A10 Fusion could only run one cluster at a time - either the fast or the efficient cores.
The iPhone X also has 3GB of RAM - the same as the iPhone 7 Plus and 8 Plus and more than the 2GB iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 - more than enough for a smooth experience on iOS.

Remember Sony, well Apple remind me of them, and look at Sony now, nothing lasts forever, their diehard iPhone buyers will be there, no doubt, but I feel less so this time round. A good example of this is the fast charging, if you want fast charging you will have to purchase a type C cable and appropriate USB charger, Apple don't provide them, but do sell them as extras, good that, and have you seen the price? See what I mean about the link with Sony. Think there are signs of the bubble about to burst syndrome, we'll see.

I gotta pay extra 90$ on top of 800$ just to get something like fast charging !!! In original kit its not included and fast charging is a standard with most of mid price mobiles !! NO WAY, I like iOS and been using iphones but this is my big goodbye to apple...they ripped me off few times but not anymore.
Cmon, lets face it : OLED screen, fast/ wireless charging, dual camera....those are old technologies...apple just cant keep up with the market, their presentaion looked more like Monthy Python theater.... it was like wwoooww we have come up with a car with ABS and GPS, acceleration is simply magical: 19s to 100km/h, it consumes ooonly 36L/100km, and smoothly designed fuel tank can take up to 45L so finaly you can stop on every 2nd fuel station to fill it up.....etc etc etc....im fed up with apple ripping me off, get a better develompment team , apple only invests in PR, marketing, etc...NO INOVATIONS AT ALL

Dee, 15 Sep 2017after iPhone 7 , i hoped that iPhone 8 will be with a lot ... moreiPhone X is the flagship, so iPhone 8 isn't that great because they wanted as many selling points for the more expensive one. It's the same with Samsung, like their Galaxy A phones which have low end chipsets, or their TVs where the new upper mid range (MU8000/9000) looks like the old high end series (KS8000/9000), but has a worse panel which is just in between the old high end ones and their mid range (MU6300/7000). At the same time, their QLEDs have all the goods and even a greater built quality with better materials and stuff like a metal remote to make you want the higher end model.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2017Ip8 is worth the upgrade for those not waiting for iphone x... moreI see it differently. I appreciate the iPhone 8 and have myself an iPhone 7. It seems lucrative to just give € 200 on top to get the newest, but that's not the sense of iPhones. If you don't care about money, you can do it. If you are still going to school like me and only get € 40 a month, you should reconsider this. Before, I had an iPhone 5. I used it for 4 years, and if the battery, small screen and small storage weren't that bad, I would have used it for another year. This should all be fixed with the 7 in 128GB config. It is comparable to a car. If you buy a new one, after 3 years, it will only be worth half the money. After that the depreciation becomes less and less. With phones, this is 2 years because carrier contracts often last that long, and then people sell their old phone, it's the effect of supply and demand. After those 2 years, the longer you use it, the more money you save when compared to buying a new one. The smartest move is of course to get a 2 year old one from a relative where you know that it is good quality, and then use it as long as possible. But I'm so interested in tech that every couple of years, I just get the newest available. But this will be the last time I'm doing that because I'm 16 years old and soon enough, I will be able to gain money myself without having to worry about school, and THEN I will do it like you. And I know this isn't smart, I'll just do it because phones are my passion, but I wouldn't recommend it to most people.

Ip8 is worth the upgrade for those not waiting for iphone x. Why? 1. Glass back enables wireless charging, 2. The A11 bionic with the new GPU gives new possibilities and ensures support for the future, 3. the better cam with OIS, and other things, just READ instead of listening to all the apple haters who love to comment on iphones they dont know anythign about.
A quick calculation shows that the cost of upgrading to ip8 is very small, a year-old iphone 7 is worth more than a slightly used Galaxy 8, you get a lot of your money back and the cash you have to add to afford the iphone 8 is small. After that you have another phone that retains its value well, you can still upgrade to iphone 9 next year and having lost less money than those who do ONE upgrade from Note 8 to Note 9. This is Apple world, we get good money for our old stuff when upgrading. Just go for it.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2017Why iPhone never gives 2.000 mAh on low flagship smartphone... moreask apple. that's why iphones have a crappy endurance in comparison to android flagships. Hell for a oneplus 5 for 499 euros you'll get almost double SOT of a iphone 7 plus. IPHONE 7 PLUS...
a shame really since i kinda like apple but it just doesn't justify its price.

Completely agree with the small battery capacity in Apple phones. If you go to the Apple UK official site they don't even mention battery capacity at all. I wonder why? ;) Just showing the hours for web, talk etc meaningless. You spend nearly £500-£1000 on an Apple phone which is a thing of beauty (less so these days) you'd expect power issue to be sorted. Like having a Porsche with an extra small fuel tank. Battery capacity and Apple phones .... elephant in the room : )
