Pamtri, 11 Aug 2019Planning to buy an iphone...idk whether should i buy 7+ or ... moreSurprisingly inspite of ~200mAh drop in the battery capacity from its predecessor iPhone 8 Plus with its optimised chipset along with the latest update of iOS lasts 30-35% longer than the iPhone 7 Plus. Moreover not just quoting figures but you can really experience the zippier 40% more optimised and faster processor in the iPhone 8 Plus which since is built on 10nm is battery efficient and performance optimised. I believe it is future-proof for the next 3 years at least (typical Apple Support of 4 updates cycles). I got it in the first week of its release in India and tbh apart from the intermittent iOS 12.3.2 update which was marred with bugs later resolved in the subsequent updates, I’ve no complaints. My primary driver since last 23 months and I can confidently say it will last for another 3 years without any hiccup. Have seen my friends & family using their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S Plus till now even after 4/5 yrs after their purchase and they still work smoothly. Do some more research still as you may get the 11 month old iPhone XR which is more optimised and future-proof if you pull in another 130$(₹10000)

this phone has a camera which i need to take snaps and share. i love its camera. battery timing is more than average

This phone is great. The huge chin and forehead kinda suck and make the phone difficult to hold, but you get used to it after a while. Battery life is great, performance has seen better days but is still very snappy on the iOS 13 beta.

If you care about performance, durability and usability for at least next 3 years, 8 Plus is a way to go! Even though battety is smaller for 200mAh, SoC was done in 10mm (compared to 16mm) so it will last for the same time, maybe a bit longer, due to better power efficiency.
