Pashant, 03 Dec 2022Overall camera is inferior of A22, rest depends on your sof... moreAre you sure, Samsung a22 has a 1080p sensor, and other than that it has a 2mp depth sensor and 2mp macro which are both practically useless? The only important other camera is its ultrawide but the iPhone 8 Plus has a 2x telephoto which it doesn't have. The video on some of these Samsung midrange phones are terrible, especially at their price point, it definitely won't top the iPhone 8 plus's 4k 60fps video. And that's just about the camera.

I’ve had mine for four years and it won’t die. It been dropped a the ca5 water dish, bounced on the concrete and tile along side swimming pools, sank in six feet of water, and even had cookie crumbs clog the recharge port to where the thunderbolt cgarhing cable wasn’t making contact. Cleaned that out with a needle. Everyone I know that has an 8 says they plan on keeping them as a backup or main phone because they are so durable. My son loves his new iPhone 14 but I worry that a new phone like that will break easily. Anyone out there drop their new 14 from a 30 foot+ balcony onto cement?

I’ve been using this model for about 4 years by now, the battery sucks! The screen must be better, generally it’s a pretty good phone, fast processor.

I've recently got this repaired for £45 (53 dollars) and it's pretty good. It has support for ios 16 although its probably its last update and it's still a pretty speedy phone even with that a11 bionic chip inside and 3 gigs of ram. The battery is pretty crappy for me but that's probably because mine is on 79% battery health so if its battery health is ok then the battery will be ok and make sure you buy a fast charger since it charges super fast . The camera is decent as well as long as you're in good lighting and the portrait mode and video is great (4K 60fps with back camera, front camera capped at 1080p 30fps). And that 2x telephoto lens definitely comes in handy sometimes. It's a chunky phone, and yea the display isn't an oled or anything but apple knows how to make a good retina display. I've came to this from the samsung a01 core, a phone from 2020 with 2011 specs (it had only one gig of ram) so I am very happy with it. Kinda ironic that I review phones but I have a phone from 2017 but it works and it is not absolute crap so I'm fine with it.
