Wow....a ture applehead "u don't need 1440p screen". However the rest of the world does. appleheads, said the same thing about a 4inch screen. Samsung screens are superior, this is why apple must bow and follow. However Apple will prob. limit it in some way and rename it. "super duper amoled". lol.

Apple definitely has some features which are a cut above their competitors. Processing speed, dual cameras, stereo speaker and other niches. My question is that enough to expand marketshare beyond hard-core devotees? Typical smartphone users want more and more memory capacity nowadays. Outside of Apple's proprietary external storage adapter, which is funky at best, users are locked into an internal option which forces them to the high end model. Stereo speakers are a better setup but how much stereo can actually be realized when the speakers are a few inches apart? With no 3.5 jack users are again forced into Apple proprietary hardware. iTunes, another Apple proprietary platform which drives profits again limits user media options. If a typical user compared photos taken from an iPhone and other high line models, will they be able to pick out the Apple photo? I think not. Apple's proprietary software platform does have limitations which in many ways cancel out their seamless user experience. Also, form does follow function but form does matter, a lot! The iPhone 8 design has pretty much firmed up by numerous identical leaks. Besides a larger display and full glass panels it doesn't really set itself apart. At $1,000.00+ USD it will be interesting to see if this phone puts a dent in the leaders (Samsung) market share particularly when an October 2017 release date is looking less likely due to Display, Quick Charge and NAND Chip availability concerns.
