Still working to this day, most apps are operational and can still pay with it. Whatsapp still updates, banking apps work and still has seamless integration with the rest of the apple ecosystem. It can even play clash royale!
An incredible tiny phone, still to this day, and the living example that there is always room for a headphone jack.

Grinder, 25 Oct 2024Still using this exact one, works great.I'm using this as well. But it's getting old. Many apps require IOS 16 or newer. It get's hot when trying to play even very simple games and I often have to plug it in because the battery starts draining fast. It's time to get a new one.

I upgraded from my free iPhone 6 Plus 16GB to an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB (PRODUCT)RED in 2021 and I couldn’t be much happier. It’s unfortunate that iOS 16.x.x is the last supported version for the 8 Plus though. I’d be interested in an SE if they made the resolution the same as the 6/7/8 Plus’s (Full HD) but so far they’re all smaller handsets with lower resolutions (and batteries). I have no idea yet what my next phone will be.
I love my 8 Plus and my mum loves hers (same phone just different modem in the phone) - mine’s an A1864 and hers is an A1897.

the 2 and 3 shoulda had the same form factor, but this is PEAK iphone. I didn't forget about the 12 and 13 mini

Lovely durable little phone. I've changed the battery 2 times since buying it in 2017, last time to 1800 mAh capacity, and it's still going strong. Switched to Pixel 4a5g for just under a year until the screen stopped working all of a sudden.
Everything still works on SE and I like how small screen discourages from spending too much time on it.
Camera is decent, very few phones from that time could do 4k recording. Even these days a lot of newer phones that are more expensive than what you can get SE or 6S for don't have it, most of the time not even 1080p60. It's a shame that selfie cam is only 1.3 MP.
