The form factor for the se 2016 still makes it a desirable basic minimalist phone considering it’s still getting updates this year! It should be able to last till next year easily :)

How is behaving after update to 15.4.? I have now 14.5. and hesitate to update, afraid of lagging. I checked new features on iOS 15 on apple page and dont really need anything, maybe just accessibility>custom font in apps. Thanks

Back with an update - took it to a repair center and replaced the battery with a new original battery from Apple, all for 35 bucks. Improvements in battery life are already visible! So I have a brand new looking iPhone SE with 100% battery health for just about 115 bucks. A bargain I'd say!

Bought a used SE just yesterday for 80 bucks, in a mint condition - no scratches anywhere and I'm loving it. Went from a 6.6 inch display to a 4 inch display lmao! The only downside that appears to be is the battery but I still have to test it some more, currently it's on 87% battery health.

m not am iphone fan but what i like about iphone is the flat front, back and edges. i like this SE 2016 design.i hope they make another compact phone liks this design in updated specs.

An updated version with the same size would be ideal. My wife might not look for alternatives, non-apple, if they don't produce such a similar size to the 2016 SE

212, 19 Mar 2022Im pretty much sure that the 1st SE wont get Ios16Oh so whether the SE gets iOS 16 depends on what you think? It seems likely but same has been said about iOS 14 and 15 before, it can go either way at this point.

Thing is, I consider bug fixes and speed improvements and longer battery life more useful than features which are only used by 0.5% of users but make up 20% of the development resources and the keynote (Focus mode)
