Here's the explanation of processors I posted on an other page
The most important thing for a processor is the architecture. The more powerful the architecture is, the more performance you'll get per second.
The efficiency of a processor is also very important. It depends on the architecture. The more efficient the processor is, the less power you need per clock. That means you can also overclock your processor further without suffering from heating issues.
If those two are good, then you can scale the performance with the clock speed (those mysterious GHz-numbers, you know). As mentioned above, you can upscale this number as long as you don't have heating issues, but of course this also means it needs more power. So you have to decide between power-usage and performance.
The cores are just for making multiple tasks at once. For example, if a program is made for multi-core, it gives 50% of the work to one and 50% of the work to the other core, if we talk about dual core. But many programs don't have this support and also many don't need it. For example, you don't need that multi core performance for WhatsApp. The most prominent example for multi core use is video-rendering. But there really aren't many programs which need or support multi core on smartphones.
Also, those cores are divided in clusters. In the SD 821, you have 2 high performance cores and two low performance cores which work simultaneously. There are also SoCs like Apples A10 Fusion, where only 1 cluster works at once and the system switches between the high performance cluster and the low performance cluster.
Now to your wrong-interpretation of cores as being the most important thing. These phones you mean are often lower end phones, which have 8 of those low performance cores also used in flagships. But they can't deliver much performance because they are just made for light usage and low power usage. That's why an iPhone 5s performs in some tasks still better than a new low end octa-core device with 8 low performance cores. This "octa-core" is often just there for bragging with numbers and make people think they made a good buy. So you have to see everything from a processor, not just one number.
Also, these low performance cores are much smaller than high performance cores. iPhones perform best because they have less and bigger performance cores. Many other things are also important for performance, like storage speed (where Apple also is the leader with newest NVMe storage) and gaming performance depends on graphics card and resolution (the lower the resolution and the more powerful the graphics card, the better you can play a game. Another example where iPhones are also leading. They have best gaming experience because they have on par graphics cards with competition but lower resolution screen)

I was a iphone 5 user then i purchased an androide a5(2016) but im not satisfied with it so im going to buy a new iphone, i just want ur opinion should i buy iphone se or iphone 6s because my friend's are saying build quality is not too good...

i dropped my iphone se after that i noticed that the screen is moving up and down while pressing it. is it normal?

I purchased a iPhone se recently. Very happy with it especially after accidentally putting it in utility sink then proceeding to rinse out hair color. It dawned on after a minute or so, then I pulled it out and-removed the otter case and dried it right away. The otter case came from my prior iPhone 5. To my amazement every thing still worked with the exception of speaker phone to communicate and ear buds for to hear my music. I put it in rice over night then by about 12 hours later my phone started working back to normal. True story 😀

Ios 10.2 has lowered the battery survival and i hope when they release next software its perfect and they work on why the battery has dropped after the ios 9.3 not happy about that though all in all lasts me all day though. APPLE U BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROMISED BATTERY LIFE OR ELSE U WILL LOOSE CUSTOMERS

How does the iphone se give u 10hours i barely get that i get about 6h and half or 7 tops on ios 10.2????? Will there be anymore updates to improve battery life its not as they mention it should hold out

SE is the only premium compact phone, but if in doubt just get a sony, as long as you dont expect anything premium from it youll be ok with an xperia.

Did you try to teach your iphone your fingerprint with wet finger? Maybe that would work, worth a try.
