So its not worth its all about brand.
Food is different meta because you need to eat everyday.
This i mean phone its just accessory which isnt necessary for living but helps a lot. I.E. makes live easier and more comfortable.

I just bought mine 2 days ago & i'm already obsessed about this little beauty. I'm a first time user of iphone & heard many comments that i better go for a samsung bcz iphones are complicated. Who cares as long as it's rose gold :DDD

As a manager, i guess you should come into contact with employees and colleagues.
Come, i ask a very simple question:
Do you see worth in your colleagues / employees because they have the fastest hand eye coordination, physically the strongest or the best sweet talker?
OR
One that did his job well, so you do not get schooled by your superiors?
Same with food! Restaurant wouldn't bothered to even research in best favours, what goes well with what, they just need to purchase the MOST expensive ingredients.. then they hope to succeed??
Same with phones! Who cares if its base component cost! Its the end results that matters.
And P.S. working as a manager in a mobile phone company does not automatically means you KNOW all phones's worth. Its subjective to each person. And with iPhone SE selling well, it means most people believe iPhone IS worth.

I am a manager of company which sells mobile phones and accessories.
If you look inside the phone you will find made in china in al his components.
Which means phone is cheap build but heavily priced due to Apple.
People pay like 1/10 of price for phone and 9/10 is for brand.
I guarantee you any phone from Xiaomi, Meizu, Oneplus and so with same specs and components will be sold for 2/10 of apple price.
Apple is nothing else than overpriced Brand same like sony and so.
Theses nothing special only high cost apple have to pay to all its developers and other people which makes these components to create one phone.
Anyway did you know SE edition means Super Expensive.
