It Is great if you don't need that storage, then you can save that money, but if you are not sure you should go for 128GB as the price difference is not that big.
I can tell you my usage: I have a 128GB iPhone 7 and I use it since a half year. I'm storing every crap on it and I used it for taking photos in 1 vacation now. I used 30.72GB and the biggest part of that is photos and camera with 6GB, behind that Asphalt 8 with 2GB and GarageBand (which I actually don't use, just left it there because it was perinatales) 1.4GB. But if you really manage your storage and save your photos to your PC once 1 or 2 years, you'll be also fine with 32GB. Before that, I also survived 5 years with a 16GB iPhone 5.

but compare the processor chipset.
iphone se runs A9 whilst iphone se runs A8

Performance is excellent and camera brilliant. Battery much better.
Smaller screen size takes getting use too.

I had use android for many years from different Sumsung Mobiles phones.i had observed that Samsung Mobiles use to hang.Then at frist I had gone to iphone 4s I loved this phone & every year I had upgrade version as 5,5s& 6s now I am using iphone SE so that I want only 4" screen.its awesome phone just works like iphone 6s.i love Iphone SE

Also I would recommend life proof case, makes a nice grip to the phone and it also get water,dust,dirt,drop and snow proof ! With a bike mount it's nice going around hatching eggs in Pokémon go :)

I'm very impressed with this phone, flawless performance in everything I put on it. As an heavy Pokémon go addict this phone works extremely well, battery hold nice and no lag, charge battery pretty quick because it's not that big.
Phones I've used that lagged after a month use and Pokémon go is unpleasant to play very often:
Huawei p10
Sony xz
Moto z
Samsung s8
Even tho I love android there is nothing like iPhones good optimization in everything and that's just facts.
Would recommend to anyone because the price is low :)
